I go through tutorial and 2 raids. First raid killed a guy, and then another guy just appeared in front of me and insta-kill me. Server is shitting on me basically. Second raid, a guy who has survived all his raids was camping at interchange extract. Basically, he's farming gear instead of progressing in the story. I hope he enjoys my pistol.

Aside from the server issues, how is 1.0 in terms of actual content and whatnot ? Cheater still running rampant ? Not sure if I should give it a go this time or just stick with the prior version and SPT.

Content seems good. The entire progression loop has been thrown in the air. All the main quests we did are side quests now. Still not too deep into it. Gotta unlock shoreline which I think leada to skier then finally probably get jaegers letter. I'll update when I finish tonight

Hate to double post but it's been too long to edit my last post. So 1.0 seems to run pretty well, performance is alright. They have gutted all of the "coming soon" skills which is fine, most of them wouldn't have served a purpose anyways or would have trivialized other mechanics (lockpicking). The modeled traders you talk to however look like complete ass. The tutorial mission is interesting and long overdue for new players. To anyone that has yet to start this wipe, there's a 100% LedX spawn in the tutorial before you extract.

Man i was proper fuming earlier today, had a ~3 hour window so after many tries, eventually patched it and waited. and waited, and waited. and waited. Streamers could get in and play though so that's good! Ended up having to drop it.
Playing on update day is always a massive gamble, i'm a retard for falling for it every single time.

If you have a whale edition or you sell your stash you can pay our favorite babushka 250k Roubles and Scav on Streets post tutorial. That's pretty fucking funny, and I seriously don't get why Nikita didn't just make everyone wipe for PvE 1.0, than making it optional.

So was through all the early content before the ledx was found and I tried to reset my account but the website was down and I was lowkey fuming for about half an hour and then I got over it lol. Loot is pretty good so far. I found a defib and a buddy found a GPU so Im not overly worried about finding 3 ledx's. Ive done it multiple wipes. Just gotta keep hitting med spawns.

Last release was a week ago according to the github. I'm sure it'll take a while for them to update to 1.0, assuming BSG doesn't take them down now that the game has properly released.

Edit: Someone on cs.rin claims the devs said on the discord that there won't be a SPT version for 1.0 for at least half a year.

So cheats appear to already be in the game. Here you can see Pestily check a door glitch in factory that lets you see about half the map. On the bottom left-hand side, you can see a guy looking right at him through at least 4-5 walls.

Looks like BSG's anti-cheat compiling lasted all of 24 hours.

Give me top hats, but there should be some penalty for cheaters beyond getting banned. They are stealing from the players who are trying to enjoy themselves. Even if it were just a civil fine, that would be ok.

I'm not sure if I suck or not. I do very well against 70% of the userbase, but the other 30%....I feel like I'm standing still. There is such a vast difference between the people I kill and the majority of those who kill me that I have started to take deaths very poorly. I know it's silly to think that every death is from a cheater, but I've died 5x this wipe and 2 of them felt very, very sus. The other 3 were because I couldn't change my servers at the start, and I had high ping that was kicking me from raid sometimes.

The only two people I know who really don't care about cheaters, I highly suspect of cheating. One has admitted to cheating in other games (cheaters don't change), and the other has consistent KDs that align with cheater KDs, and he has less than 500 hours in the game. Each time these two die, they are 100% sure that the person who killed them was a cheater, yet they dismiss all of my deaths as "git gud." I suspect the first is full ESPing with aim lock, and the second is simply using Radar. The second player mysteriously changed accounts a couple of years ago and has never given a reason as too why.

TL;DR: I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this game to anyone.

Edit: I'm more mad about this than I should be. I have a good life IRL, and things keep moving forward. Cheaters are sad people who feel insecure about their skills, so they cheat. I've never had that insecurity. I played nationals in every single sport I picked up as a kid. I've never felt insecure or doubted my abilities in anything until I started putting serious effort into PvP games and coming up short. Granted, I'm older now, my reflexes are not what they used to be (statistically), but I can still catch something mid-air that I dropped by accident, and when I did sports, I tested in the top 1% in the nation for hand-eye coordination. They conduct physical testing of kids at many national events.

I wouldn't be shocked if they find some breakthrough and can get everything working within a few months, but I do wonder if BSG will be assholes and take down the mod if it does get working for 1.0.
