Because a shit ton of old and highly amusing lolcow stuff was forever lost after De Hippo pulled her shit. It's not really important to me now but i was seething back then, when ED got back up for the first time there was already so much missing.
 
With a name like ED, it's hardly surprising that they can't get it up and keep it up. Maybe the next ED logo should be a limp hot dog wielded by the Democracy Manifest guy.
 
At this rate, ED will run out of clearnet registars to do business with that it's either the darknet or they simply close their doors for good.

Chris-Chan may actually get his wish of ED being taken off the Internet at this rate.
