Things are so competitive but Elol’s reputation is so bad that the talent that pushes AI forward is exclusively in the domain of companies like OpenAI and Anthropic. DOGE’s real purpose was feeding all kinds of great statistics collected into xAI. That was enough to stay relevant and is now in the background.

At both of my two previous jobs, each team I was on had an Indian person who praised Elon Musk.
