Yeah, people low key talk about it like it's some sort of failing to age and not look 20 anymore, even if they don't mean to come across that way. Dude looks great at his age.
I don't know if Ellen is afraid of aging so much as she saw it as some sort of desperate bid to get attention for something. It's been speculated before in the thread she probably thought doing this would be a bigger deal than it was.
Lots of actors and actresses probably are perfectly comfortable with aging if it's at least graceful and good roles keep coming to match where they're at. But when your career's best successes are all when you're young and people stop giving much of a shit I think that can make someone begin to feel a certain way, especially if they're prone to the mentals.
The age thing is weird considering she was the designated bait girl of Hollywood around that time. She was already an adult and people saw her as a kid. Her role of Juno wasn't just a random teen, but rather a teen who was too smart for her age.
