I still want to know the rationale behind her casting. Was Nolan just tossing Ellen a pity role? I wonder if she and Charlize rhapsodized over “Protect Trans Kids”.

Even if she stayed Ellen, there's no place for womanlets in grand epics unless she is playing some twee forest sprite.
