Actor and film director Santiago Segura He has been one of the first to mourn his death through social networks. “Very sad news … Juan Joya has passed away “, confirmed the filmmaker and director of the Torrente films – he worked with Joya in one of them – in a tweet in which he highlighted “his good humor and laughter”, which became “known throughout Spain after his appearances on the program by Jesús Quintero. He was an endearing guy. “

RIP to a meme legend

Well, fuck. Que en paz descanses, Risitas.

i laughed but then i felt.gif

I just watched the original video today, and the real story he's telling is pretty funny.

He had the unwelcome job of cleaning out 20 moldy pans for paella at a restaurant, which someone instructed him to tie up and leave in the ocean tide overnight to get clean (this was around 2 AM). He did so in a swimsuit, having freshly woken up at 2 PM, and when he went back to where he tied the pans, the tide had risen up to the level of the restaurant and there was only one pan left, caught between the rocks. He goes back, and tells the others to go check the tide, because the pans are gone.

So he's told to go get new ones out of his own pocket. Instead, he went to find a bus and got the hell out of there.

Let's be honest though. The guy looked rough even in the original video. How many people do YOU know that go around with missing teeth?
R.I.P. you comedy legend :(

Fucking F for the legend. I remember when I first saw the meme a few years ago and thought the original story couldn't be any funnier, only to be basically knocked on my ass by it.

To add something to this thread, here's an underrated clip of Risitas and Jesus (the same guy from the Las Palleras video) discussing the end of the world:

We made it to spring.
