Effect of Psychoactive Drugs on health

-Shrooms have always been fun for me. I've stuck to small doses, though; I'd compare it to a very very happy drunk with heightened senses (music is a fucking blast) and mild visual distortion, without the bad shit (vomiting, hangover, etc).
-LSD was weirder, more introspective and self-evaluative; I've only done it once and didn't love the experience in the moment, but weirdly enough, something about it made me decide to never get into opiates. Ever since, I've always been a lot more careful in general when deciding to use anything (i.e. am I doing this because it's fun or is this unhealthy coping?). I'd say that's a positive.
-Weed is a mixed bag, mostly fine. Personally, I don't always enjoy the mind-fog during the high, but I'm always really relaxed the next day, which is nice (though sometimes I'll have a weird sort of emotional hangover where I'm apathetic to the point of nihilism for a week or so after).
-Alcohol gets boring after a while. At this point, I never actively want to get drunk unless I'm already halfway there.

You didn't ask about MDMA (Molly/X) but it's gotten even more popular lately, so I figured I'd mention that I've always been wary of it, and think anybody who's got a family history (or personal history) of mental disorders/severe depression should be, since the emotional crash the day after can be pretty extreme and a lot of people report intense suicidal thoughts. Dunno if that's as much of a risk for first-time users though.

Anecdotally, I've heard stories of bad acid trips really fucking people up. My friend knew a guy who dropped acid and then broke out of the mental institution he was being held at to go hunt down his dad.
The dude dropped acid while institutionalized? I mean, that's not really the ideal setting for a good trip to begin with, mentally or physically.

Anybody here ever did peyote? Is it good?
I wish. I don't even know that I've met anybody that has; seems to be hard to get a hold of.

Speaking of less common psychedelics + potential health benefits, ever heard of ayahuasca? Sounds wild.

Ayahuasca is definitely something that I want to do at least once in my life. DMT combined with a MAOI to create an extremely long DMT trip seems insane.

I would actually recommend anyone wanting to explore psychedelics for the first time to order a research chemical (RC) for their first time. There are analogs that are almost identical to LSD and psilocybin, but when ordering these RCs you 1. Get the exact dosage, and 2. Know what drug you are getting.

ALD-52 and 4-ACO-DMT are two good substitutes for LSD and Psilocybin. I also strongly recommend 2C-B as a sweet little mix between MDMA and a psychedelic, by far the easiest one to handle that I have ever done.

If you really want to experience a mindfuck then try Ketamine or any similar dissociative.

I disagree with the first part but agree with the second part. I am not a huge fan of these Shulgin-type phenethylamine research chemicals. They are almost invariably harsh and unpleasant and nowhere near as good as real LSD. Good luck finding LSD these days. And fuck the shitheads selling shitty RCs as LSD, usually using blotter paper so thick it's obviously not real LSD.

(I would actually recommend salvia but that may be an unpopular opinion. It's a ridiculously fast-acting dissociative and its results go away quickly. However, some people have extreme reactions to it in the brief period of dissociation it creates. It is vaguely similar to DMT in the way that it briefly fucks you up to the point you don't even know you took a drug, and possibly don't even know who you are.)

ALD-52 was really pleasant and almost undistinguishable from real LSD for me and my group of friends. This sentiment is shared with experienced users on other drug forums too.
