Earthbound vs Deltarune vs Chrono Trigger

Earthbound is the lamest one in my opinion. Lots of grinding involved and boring rpg gameplay. Also the first time I played it, this game was so bitch made that it erased itself from my computer.
Deltarune is gay and lame, it has awful characters I couldn't care less about, but it does a good job of setting up an interesting mystery from what I've seen second-hand. Also has a more engaging fight system, good music, and SOME decent character designs.
Chrono Trigger beats them both by having both tolerable characters who aren't eye-roll and skip dialogue-inducing, speedy fights and no grinding at all. It also helps that the graphics are gorgeous, if a bit dented when it comes to perspective.

I think it really depends on what flavor of RPG you want,
If you want something really "I want emotional investment in the characters and world" Deltarune is good for that and the bullet hell battle system isnt that bad. But you do have to tolerate the fact it was made after quirky became extremelly overused
Earthbound is great if you just want a nice chill time, it isnt too hard, its the old kind of charming quirky like the Mario RPG games
But Chronotrigger is definately a lot more serious in gameplay and plot with that real time battle system. Fun time but Id say requires the most investment but absolutely rewards it

Speaking of Earthbound, I saw that a total conversion got released today that ports the entirety of the first game into Earthbound proper. Damned fun

Trigger is pretty, has great music, good battle system and a fun story.
Earthbound is cute, has great music and a simple story. with memorable moments
Deltarune is releasing in parts and still isn't finished so who cares
