I wouldn’t consider Japan some safe haven for your video game consooming when they’ve shown to fall into downward spirals of their own (Nintendo with the WiiU, Capcom and Square Enix during the PS3/360 generation).

Just play whatever interest you, regardless of the source, and move on.

What I see happening at the moment is between scalpers and Woke video games being ruined, the fucking PS5 has been out for over half a year but you still can't find one in stores, it's the next generation that didn't actually arrive.

Woke is fucking poison that ruins everything it infests, it's as if it's a literal weapon being waged against our society and maybe that's actually what it is (ie by China), what we're seeing at the moment is western devs going all in on Woke.

But video games have been through bad times before, 2009-2012 kind of sucked as well for different reasons, however things got good again, hopefully it'll happen again, but I really do sense another 1983 style crash coming and if that happens hopefully Japan will pick up the pieces like last time.

Bruh the fucking component shortage isn't just affecting games. When Toyota is having issues getting stuff for navigational systems it's affecting every industry imaginable.


Apple horded stuff right before the pandemic swung into full gear and even they are having issues.
 
40+ years of video games being released, many of which can be bought on the cheap or even downloaded and emulated for free, and folks here are getting invested in Current Year shit?

I am a south american myself and I hate that crap. Someone on the farms did end up finding a valve employe who was pretty much a mexiboo and suspected him of being the asshole who pushed for the sale.
I am glad actual latinos started to push back and I hope valve paid attention to the negative reaction.

If copyright laws keep heading the way they are we won't even be able to emulate without some kind of ATF equivalent DMTF (Digital Media Task Force) hunting us down because we couldn't pay the $3,000 price tag on a Brazilian tier salary.

Carribean Wetback here and I fucking hate Latinx. Im pretty sure Valve only did that stupid Latinx thing for the money I dont think they would care one way or another.

You realize you're complaining about Asians making video games, right? I understand what you meant, but I'm not sure that would necessarily be due to corporate diversity (maybe?). I do think my pointing out the irony of including Asians in your list is kind of funny though.
