Oh my Lord. I bartend, and the next time I get someone asking for a "ITS MY BIRTHDAY, CAN I GET A FREE SHOT!?!?!", I am making that. My current "free" shot is a Smoker's Cough. Warm Jagermeister and heated up mayonnaise. They never ask for a free shot again.Here's a drink to troll others with that my brother and his roommate created. The Bear Grylls. From what I gather it includes diet Mountain Dew, lime juice, and a shot of hard liquor. Combine all in a glass rimmed with salt and microwave until warm. To drink, first lick all the salt on the rim so you're dehydrated. Then drink the warm "piss" concoction to rehydrate. ]P

Earlier today chat got talking about beer, and someone (as usual) suggested starting a thread. But rather than start one thread for beer, and have someone else start a wine thread, a rum thread, and others, I thought it would be better to just have the one thread where we can converse about alcoholic beverages in general.
So here it is: I figure we could use this thread to talk about all sorts of booze related topics, recommendations, warnings, food-pairings et cetera. Let this thread be your sherpa up the mountain of alcohol(ism?)!
EDIT: So apparently there's already a thread, and CatParty merged them. Just so this post doesn't look out of place I thought It would be worth pointing it out.

It's a good beer to drink when you want to impress your Mexican girlfriend's father. At least around here. It's like Natty Ice for Mexicans.

In Poland they have a super-strength lager called "Strong". It is not pleasant. But when you mix it with the banana juice/syrup that they also have over there, the resulting Bananabrau is fantastic.

This is an idea a few of the members and I came up with. Drinks based off of events in the lives of LOLcows.
One of mine is the Sonichu.

Blackberry wine, red wines that are sweet, malted beverages. The last bit of alcohol I drank was uber expensive and I ended up slurping the whole bottle down in a few hours. The person who bought it was disappointed, to say the least. Oops.
