A lot of them think they're coding savants and I think they feel threatened their value has diminished by coding assistants since anyone who can read code and is intelligent can start cranking out projects that would take them a long time, comparatively, to reach a working state. The potential fallout is problem people lose power over others who can just fork, remake, or greenfield projects with coding assistants. I imagine they will cling to their current projects that have wide usage.
