I remember enjoying Rocket Slime when it first came out in.... 2006!? (fuck, I'm old) Its short and pretty easy, so I wouldn't recommend spending $50-80 on an authentic cart of it when there are probably dozens of cell phone games with similar play styles available for $5.

I own and have played a little bit of Builders 2. The game hasn't grabbed me at all, but I'm still on the second island and have barely advanced the plot, so maybe it gets good after a certain point. My initial impression is that its closer to 3D Dot Heroes than Minecraft. That is to say, an adventure game using the Minecraft/Lego aesthetic than an actual Minecraft/Lego game.

Rocket slime is actually the 2nd game in a trilogy, and was the only one to be released outside of Japan. It was originally known as Slime Morimori 2. The First game was for GBA and was a pure platformer(no tank combat), the third game was for 3DS and had you man a giant boat to have battles with piratey forces in the sea.

I played a bit of DQB. I like everything about it except the gameplay. It's like Minecraft, but better, which is still shit (unless you like Minecraft).

There's an actual story to it, graphics are fine, art is great, music is always fine in DQ at least. It controls very smoothly, for what it's worth.

I'd say it's worth a shot.

I binged the hell out of Builders on the Vita. Fantastic game, even if I didn't care for not having access to the same recipes and resources each chapter. Has its own charm compared to everything else in the mining and crafting genre.

I played Rocket Slime before I was crazy into the series, and it was really fun from what I remember. Haven't played it since it was new though.

On the topic of Sugiyama: he even nailed it when composing for Famicom Shovelware puzzle games. Didn't know he was such a big deal beyond Dragon Quest, but his music made my childhood with Dragon Warrior VII and Monsters and he is a great composer.

Both games are good but Builders 2 is a more solid adventure.

DQ Builders 1 and 2 and DQ 11 are some of my favorite games on the Switch. Really looking forward in playing that DQ III remake since I been wanting to play III again.

I think it could be.

Gamefaq guide just misinfo'd me on certain places, AND i wanted to catch dragons (as most of my faves are unavailible Core monsters). Which made me grind, which is hard.
Then lava city made me experience SEVERE eyestrain so I quit.
Also, as I am gaming on my oldphone for Handheld Experiense, the only emulator that runs on it has problems with specifically this game, and boots you with an error every other session.
 
Regarding "Magi-Nation" they released an updated version for the Gameboy Advanced in Japan. Apparently they made a change to the appearance of the main character, but otherwise it is apparently like the original US game. Using the US game as a reference, it should be possible to play the updated Japanese game. The graphics look lightyears better on the GBA version.
 
Magi-Nation was a cool game. Thought it latched on to the Pokemon craze with more success than a lot of the other brands that tried. Gamewise anyway, never watched the show or played the card game. Only real difficult parts I remember was getting lost in some of the Core dungeons.

Builders 1 is harder depending on what version you get. The PS4 version has a time limit where you have to finish all challenges and defeat the boss within a certain limit of days each chapter. Switch does not have it that and instead requires you to collect a specific number of unique items as well as finishing the other 4 challenges each chapter.
 
What the nigger is up with the text speed in Builders 2? I can build a house with the time it takes for the voice in Goku's head to speak.

IV is an interesting game to me because the rate of cartridge development between it and III meant the game had twice as much space, and instead of being stupid Hori and Chunsoft spent it on music, A.I., and the first transforming final boss. I know the switch is also cartridge based, but I don't think the industry will ever seen a sudden growth like that again.
 
I have been playing Joker 2 for about a decade now on-and-off reaching a goal of getting Rigor Mortex. The process to obtaining Rigor Mortex is extremely massochistic and the payoff is underwhelming, but always felt the urge to say I did it.

I thought it was no longer possible, or am I mixing games up?

Also, they gave it a bishie form in Super Light...what for? Did anybody want to fuck the clock?
