You just know that CAC's getting to take other character's move sets is gonna lead to the most toxic, broken builds you can imagine. Though, if the Saibaman moveset is available, I'm making a namekian and bringing honour to my green brethren.

At least wait for the gameplay preview before you allow yourself to be suckered into the hype train. I'm still fearing that we're gonna get hit with the "Well, we had to cut most of the roster, but don't worry, they'll all be good DLC fodder."
Yeah I know, but the hair changes now! Seriously though I do wonder how the movesets will change, if at all, to account for CaC's. Will the Nameks, Freeza and Majin have their moves simplified to remove any stretching and tail hits, or will they be altered for the humans only? Either way it's a nice change that, if nothing else, will help break up the monotony.

I assume it'll just be the same as race-locked super attacks, if it includes stretchy limbs only majin/namekians will be allowed to use it, if it includes a tail only frieza race. Of course, that still leaves the question of how they account for different character heights and such. Like I imagine that Kid Gohan or Pan's move set don't transfer that cleanly to a tall namekian character, that's gotta make for some janky-ass hitboxes. Though maybe they just won't include those character's styles.

I don't like that super soul/character swap thing. Not one bit.
But everything else I saw looked pretty damn good. Especially the fashion. Goddamn having some good lookin clothes is nice. The hub looks way better as well.
The way they presented it makes it looks more like, mechanically, a tag-in-super-attack sort of thing more than what they did in Breakers where you actually play as the character for a while.

I better be able to use that fucking pompadour and headbutt mother fuckers. Also, show us the other races, I'm starting to get worried with how all the non-cast NPCs we've seen are humanoids.

It's fucking weird looking at the difference in visuals between Xenvoerse 2 and 3, knowing that there's gonna be less than a year between 2's last DLC and this.

Yeah it legit looks horrendous, I was actually getting hyped throughout the trailer until that moment.
I want to be John Dragonball and get swole on my own. Not by becoming someone else mid battle.
Hope it's optional.

People who got exclusives at the SGF are now uploading their videos.

Info:
Despite people's concerns, all the other races are still in the game.
The apartment is your customisable home.
The apartment complex you live in also has the Dragon Ball characters living there, so I'm assuming this is some sort of hotel specifically for time-displaced characters.
Neo West City is supposedly so much bigger than Conton
Levels are fucking big. Like, them going through it and fighting minon enemies reminds me more of Kakarot zones, even some of the enemies you fight look like the Red Ribbon Robots from Kakarot. It's definitely leaning more into the MMO direction.
You special attacks have cooldowns now. Again, more like an MMO.
Only move that doesn't is... the charging move that is still a special move slot.
Soul Switch acts exactly like it did in Breakers. You transform into the character for a limited time with all their moves.
SS3 transformation supposedly has the whole sequence with the hair growing.
Soul Assist is triggered by a button prompt, occupying a separate slot rather than being a chance triggered by using that character's move.

I don't like the hud, feels too clean and bland.

This video is a colossal waste of time.

It's 21 minutes of Mark autistically explaining the various timelines in Dragon Ball just to bitch about the ending of the Goku Black arc.

If you feel bored enough to waste 22 minutes of your time, you can hear about all these timelines that don't matter (like a universe that is ruled by Cell)

But, the 'fix' Mark provided for this massive 'Goku Black plot hole' is by telling you that instead of coming to a universe that already has a Trunks and a Mai, the ending would have been better if Trunks and Mai just came to a timeline where Trunks got killed by Cell. That way, Trunks and Mai can replace the dead Trunks a possibly dead Mai to live happily with Bulma.

And while I can get unnecessarily bloating up the video, I just don't understand that why can't we just remove the multiversal Zamasu thing that popped up during the final episode of the arc and have Trunks just live in his timeline.

This is just a waste of effort.

I love the universal Zamasu ending and Trunks losing his timeline. I hate them immediately trying to backtrack on the dark ending by having Whis pull an alternate timeline out of his ass and ignore the existential crisis of living with perfect clones of all the loved ones you failed and watch die. Trunks should have stayed for the Tournament of Power and gotten his timeline back from 17's wish.

Knee jerk reaction is "I hate this too" but I could see this being a nice change. It's so easy to just spam endlessly in the previous games, and that's basically the entire meta of XV1 because of how SSJ works. So a cool down could be a good thing, assuming the cool down is only on the move you just used and not a set wide CD.
Still needing to slot in a charge move is just balance at this point, that's all I can think. If everyone had a universal charge move then I guess you'd be too tempted to just cram as many high damage moves as possible? Idk.

Still don't like the sound of soul switching since I never played breakers. I also never cared for the assist moved either so that change is whatever, but does sound nicer than RNG.

Everything else sounds pretty cool and it really does look so much better than XV2. Hoping to be seeing more footage.

It worked in Breakers because that's a game where you spend 90% of it as a weak little human who'll get obliterated by the Raider and soul switching is just a tool to give you a fighting chance if you scavenge enough resources, one you have to use carefully because you're a sitting duck after it runs out. Here, I don't see much use or care about using it when you're already a powerful CAC. Hell, it turns out that you equip it to your awakening slot, so you have to choose between that and a transformation. Ain't fucking nobody giving up Super Saiyan so they can turn into someone else; this is a gimmick that barely anyone is gonna use more than once or twice.

Mark is a twit about anything other than the art of dragonball, and even then he gets kinda tarded.

Hey if that's the case then fuck it, it's just a different way to build your dood and I'm fine with it. Though I'm guessing this Soul Switch was confused with "moveset swapping".

Random unrelated post but Toyotaro glazers should all be shot in the fucking head. He fucking sucks. Endless fanartists are infinitely better. Drawing more lines on musculature, doesn't immediately make it "good." DB never went nuts with details like that.

BUT TORIYAMA PICKED HIM!

Yes, the feeble old man that has been cashing checks on a 30 year old series picked a shitty artist, because he didn't take it seriously as much as these retards believe. Also, fork found in kitchen.

Had a chance to watch some of the actual gameplay and idk how I feel about the change to ki/stamina. They're the same thing now, and it looked like the only thing(s) that costed any ki were movements like super dashing and
Specials don't use ki at all. I didn't see anything resembling an escape move used either.

The general movement and combat looked largely the same but much smoother. Movement in the maps seems snappier too, more responsive? Saw a ton of stop/start movements even whilst dashing that seemed really fluid.

Maps do look fuckin yuge. So is the hub. And it looks way better than Conton.

Quests are basically all co-op based, so if you're playing solo the other Time Patrollers(now they're part of the "Great Saiyaman Corps". Even saw them pose and spout some catchphrases as they came out of the portal.) will be bots. Idk if that means they'll be randomly generated allies or if they'll be one of the goons in the cast.

Soul Switch is literally just a transformation skill. You turn into whoever for a time and seemingly just pop out of it with no downsides? But I can't imagine why you'd actually use it over any of the awakening skills. Somethings weird here.

CaC models look so much better, and I really like that they're including some OCs for the story. It always felt lame that it was just you going on missions.

Game does feel like an MMO. Like DBO-Lite or something and I can get behind that.

Toyo has always sucked cock. But it's fitting since Toriyama's own style took a nosedive around Super.

The stuff he designed not terribly long before he died was nothing to write home about. DB became just massive royalty checks to him and nothing more. They like to pretend he lived and breathed it, but he really didn't it. It was just his meal ticket.

Just because he created the series doesn't mean he's infallible and he needs unquestioning dicksucking. I would say the same thing to Miura in Berserk with the digital art that started being used after the boat arc is literal trash. And now you have glazers defending the studio artists continuing Berserk that has physically ill inducing art now.

Broly uses his evasive skill a few times, so I think they're still in the game.

I think that's just for the demo, or this is probably for the tutorial on Parallel Quests since Brett's there. Though I wouldn't say no to being able to bring up to three other allies if I want to; fuck, let me squad up with all my of CACs, I don't care how broken it'd be.

I think this game is basically a re-do of Dragon Ball Online. It's set in the same time period, we're getting invaded by enemy forces that both vaguely resemble Red Ribbon Bots (Red Pants Army maybe?) and Demon Realm Soldiers, characters are getting haphazardly sucked into the present, ect. And depending on how the final DLC for 2 ends, Towa/Mira might come back for round 3.5.

Something I just realized about the trailer is that we've yet to be shown any Raditz-to-Buu shit. I think we're still gonna have it, but it's gonna be like Online did it where it was just the occasional special mission of going through time rift quest rather than the main thrust of the story.

I want to be hyped, but I'm thinking in the back of my head "How many of those hours are you making me grind through some bullshit?"

Going through Journey To The West and Goku really is Wukong. Every interaction this fucker has basically comes down to "IT'S ME! OLD MONKEY! IF YOU DON'T DO WHAT I WANT THEN YOU'LL FEEL THE STING OF MY IRON ROD!" or "FIEND! YOUR STRENGTH IS TRULY FEARSOME AND IT HAS EXCITED ME BEYOND MEASURE! COME AND ALLOW OLD MONKEY, GREAT SAGE EQUAL TO HEAVEN AND EARTH, TO SHOW YOU THE STRENGTH OF MY COMPLIANT GOLDEN ROD. NOW STAND STILL!"

The fucker just goes around braining people with his power pole for mildly pissing him off or because they looked strong, rampages through every layer of heaven immediately after achieving divinity, is punished for it constantly and barely learns his lesson because he's so fuck off strong compared to everyone else that half the time they cower in fear before him or run off to get a chief diety to plead with him to be normal for a minute. Usually with the threat of divine execution on the spot. Which is then promptly forgotten when the issue at hand is dealt with, so it the process repeats itself.
I didn't notice Broly used his, good catch. I thought it was just one of his ki dome moves. Don't think I saw the player use one though.

I'm thinking the co-op/bots are part of the system as whole for the story. The games have always leaned more towards co-op/team fights than soloing. Particularly in XV2. This seems like a logical step. Plus what with this shaping up to be a DBO Reboot of sorts, it makes sense. Being able to actually pick and choose, from the cast or your own CaC's outside of PQ's or free battle, would be slick for sure.

I'd also be a little surprised if they included any potential grinding in the length of the story content, but not that surprised. I just hope they alleviate it a bit. Part of what really killed me with XV2 was how you'd be trying to get a single super move and end up with 25 pairs of Yamchas bandit shirt or whatever instead. That was one of the biggest issues in XV1 and it was just made worse with how much shit they crammed into XV2.
