I remember that episode. The other guys were all pretty normal gay guys- not really effeminate or campy at all. You can even tell from the picture- Nebraska's standing on an angle in a more feminine posture while the two other are in a more standard masculine position with the weight spread evenly across both feet.

This is the kind of shit that's been contributing to the recent decline of LGBTQ+ acceptance. It used to be about Gay, Lesbian, Trans people, and whatever the fuck they identify as, just wanting nothing more to be accepted into normal society. To be treated equally and be allowed to live their lives like any good-natured straight/cis person does.

Now it's been hijacked by insane degenerates who have, over the course of maybe 6 or so years, tainted their community. And now we have people like this who are demanding Lesbians to crave dick. And if you rightfully call that batshit insane, you're called a terf and a bigot.

This is what happens when you turn a rightful movement about societal acceptance into a popularity contest that's besieged with mentally-ill Tumblr users, clout-chasing Twitter addicts, Celebrities vying for attention, and corporations ready to exploit them all. They sent LGBTQ+ acceptance back several years with responses just like this, then wonder why they're seen by the more normal members of society as degenerates. What a fucking joke.

This reminds me of an article I read not too long ago in which the writer posited that the trans/non-binary/"queer" movement will likely end up like the hippy movement: something that has a long "tail" and will be around in a significantly less popular form for years to come. I think he stated that it's likely that the increasing corporatization of the movement will trigger the fall in popularity.

It doesn't make up for the fact this very lame and stupid shit ruined a lot of stuff probably permanently and it happened in the social media era so all this crap is preserved in HD forever. I hate the word woke as well. I don't like that the President of the United States talks like a gay black man, saying people get "cancelled". What the fuck is that? The only way this sort of cultural malaise can stop I think at this point is if somehow technology reverted to just before the iPhone came out. Everybody being a CCTV camera is just simply not good, and the dumbest retards in the country being able to easily access the internet through iPads which are literally baby proof was bad too. Remember; the internet has only really been prevalent in human history since 2007 or so with the new prevalence of smartphones making it all-pervasive, and look how quickly it made people go crazy. It's sad, but it was a net negative for society.

I get what you mean about speaking out, but people have done that. It doesn't change anything. You're one person fighting against a tidal wave backed up by every major institution in America. Most of the people that used to be cool gave up and accepted how things are now. I don't see much of a future.

Late to the party but THANK YOU. Gunna PL a tiny bit here but as someone who happens to be trans ( i know I'm sorry it's just important context wise) i have been yelled at more than once because I just want to be a person and not a *TRANS* person. Like ffs people treat any opinion or identity as a whole encompassing thing that doesn't allow people to just exist as people who are all individuals that are just people going through their day and not fighting dumb shit on the internet 24/7 letting everyone know their life issues, personal needs, and every inch of themselves. Like people can have different opinions than you, that's fine. Don't like them? Then you as a human can decide if that relationship is worth your time still. You don't have to make that shit a public matter and make that apart of your person.

I think it's more the fact that Trixie's bit back then was "I do Anne Frank drag" to the point I'm stumbling upon people that brought her Anne Frank's diary to sign at club performances and now his/her routine is pretty much as comedically sterile as anybody else's in 2024.
