Karlyn vs. actual journalism
Karlyn released this video on twitter and did a brief write up on the video in her substack. As you can see, the "scoop" actually belongs to Gabrielle Clark because the family reached out to her. Apparently the family reached out to many people and a lot of them posted the video.
The family also reached out to Reduxx magazine. Reduxx had a journalist who responded and gathered material to write a substantial story and that story came out yesterday, tagged as an exclusive. What do you think happened next?
Karlyn pitched an absolute bitchfit screeching that Reduxx stole her work.
The whole exchange is glorious between the reduxx writer and Karlyn. It's here.
The family contacted Reduxx the day before they contacted Karlyn. Reduxx, being actual journalists, did not rush to publish. They requested supporting materials from the family and spent a few days compiling a story complete with examples of evidence of what the family is facing and took into consideration that the family is in a situation where they will go to court and Reduxx did not want to write anything that might damage their case.
Imagine being a journalist, being contacted by a family, taking a few days to compile an exclusive story complete with details and documentation, publishing your work and then having some angry gremlin start squealing that you stole her "scoop".
Here's some fun screenshots from this whole thing.
