I was under the impression that the megacharity industry, at least within the US, was just another business model operating under a false not for profit premise. Not sure how it is in other countries.
Don't give shit to Goodwill Industries. Give your old shit to Salvation Army even though they believe fags go to hell, even if you are a fag. Salvation army has still helped more fags than Goodwill ever has.

"Don't Buy Generic Drugs"
Was the first thing said to me from a guy who would later become a good friend.

He worked at a US based generic drug manufacturer. The FDA would padlock the doors monthly due to irregularities in QC reporting and lack of records.

The workers would chuck full bags of reagents/precursors into the reactors and mixers - packaging and all. In order to save time.
On several occasions, my buddy saw workers pissing into the mixers, because the bathroom was too far.
"When you are making tens of thousands of pounds of product, a little piss, paper and glue don't matter" - was the common response.
He didn't take sides with this. Management knew about it, but the workers were allowed to take 10 min to pee. Bathroom breaks were unlimited.
Everyone was to blame.

I can't fathom what it's like with overseas drug manufacture these days.
(my buddy later became a Pharm D. - VERY hard degree)

Bonus:
M.D.'s have zero clue about the drugs they prescribe. Most doctors take 2-4 classes in pharmacology.
Pharm D's take 4 years of pharmacology. The drug store pharmacist has more knowledge than most M.D.s . Hell, the Pharm Tech has more knowledge.

A doctor's 'continuing education' requirements are literally the pamphlets handed out by the drug reps. The drug rep will give a sales pitch, then log the M.D. into their CE system, linked to the FDA. Boom - credits for a 20 minute sales pitch. (They used to be published in pharm magazines - you could read, sign, and mail in the tag to get your CE credits).
Also doctors get CE credits when the drug reps fly them out to Hawaii for their annual convention.
