Your couch is shit, event he the orange cat knows that and it doesn't even have the lone braincell all gingers have to share. That's is obviously better because it's new as it's still half packaged.

Scheduled today to take my cat in to be put to sleep in a few hours. She's just skin and bone now from renal failure, much like with Bethany, and hasn't touched her water bowl today, and we don't want her to start fading the same way she did. She's still lucid, will probably meow loudly as we take her and might still not want the vet to touch her, but she's not going to get better. I kinda wonder if the kittens just stressed her out so much because she essentially ruled the house like the brat she is, but she is also 15 and a smaller-sized cat where all that weight loss was going to be a problem for her. It's likely just her time to go.
She has the one eye because the other got eaten by sarcoma, and it clearly didn't bother her, maybe. She kinda would rub up against us and anything to scratch the bone around the socket, so maybe it did a little. At least she'll have 20/20 vision again, soon.
I'm sorry, Ayumi. I was hoping you'd be the one to actually pass peacefully in your sleep and not be in pain. I know you didn't pick me to be your favorite hooman, and your brattiness was a pain in the butt more often than not, but I am still happy I wanted you that fateful day at the mall. Even though you didn't care for them, I hope the kittens will take to your absence well.
These videos are a few years old at this point back when she was still a chunk, but I'd like to share her cute meows for whenever she'd play with her toys (her cricket, mainly, she loved that cricket). Given she hadn't been playing the same way for the past year now, it was more-or-less a sign she was finally feeling her age and start withering away.
Say "hi" to Bethany for me when you see her again. Be a nice little moocat to her. And if it turns out Eb is there, too, also be nice to him. I know you were secretly missing his presence.

My sincere condolences Kari. The fact that their lives are much shorter than ours is the greatest source of suffering for a cat or dog owner. It is obvious you were a good owner and loved your cat very much. May she rest in peace and may she pass quickly and quietly with grace and comfort.

She loves climbing into/under things, like blankets, but also armpits to less success. So she just jabs up into it then chills there when it doesn't give way

after the family got pretty big I looked at seeing if she wanted to go home with me but my guy at home was pissed when he smelled her on me, which is a bit of a challenge because she'll dive in head first to get pets by any means necessary

Many thanks my friend. For the record I did it on the extreme cheap. Scrap metal, roof panels and bird mesh sourced from scrap yards and work site dumps. Wood from felled trees and steps made from old bookshelf shelves. Took about 2 weeks for a 6m x 9m enclosed space. Only 'new' thing I bought was a decent cat door.
EDIT: I made them an APC a few years ago. Again from cheap wood offcuts and shit that I'd accumulated over the years. They don't go outside the enclosure now so it's a permanent indoor B&B for the ones that need some quiet time.
Final picture is of one my old cats Steelo, she was jet black until she hit 4 years old and then got a case of vitiligo. One of the most awesome cats I ever had the privilege of caring for.

I have a fourteen year old gal called Bean. I've had her since she was a kitten and we basically grew up together. She's a very unique cat; she's extremely sensitive, highly neurotic and territorial, clingy and very sweet. She's very dependent on us and hates strangers. It's both sweet and sad to me how reliant she is on cuddles and attention when she's feeling a bit insecure. She's a very vocal cat and likes to chat with us often. When she was younger she was more self-contained but given that she's a senior baby now she loves kisses and being held in my arms.

Millie's been locked in my apartment for the past few weeks until my landlord/sister gets a storm door for the porch. My BIL didn't want her out in the hall because she was trying to get out every chance she got so I've had to keep my cat door locked and she's not happy about any of this. My parents are just down the road so sometimes I bring her down there so she can have a whole big house to run around in and play with their cat Ember while we get this straightened out (I already do sometimes bring her with me when I visit my parents during colder months when I can't just walked down to their house)
