What's the state of Dark Seer these days? Lil' purple dude was overpowered in the hands of highly skilled, pro, and handsome player (such as myself), but I haven't really played the game since 2015.
Game file names and updates suggest the long rumoured 'Dark Carnival' event is being released very shortly. If I had to guess I'd expect it to arrive at the end of The International qualifiers to limit pro scene disruption.
The final qualifier game is scheduled for June 28th
The carnival shit should've been done when Ringmaster was released not 1-2 years later. Should've held off on the vengeful spirit skywrath event on delayed his release a while.
They've added a new cosmetic chest, the core event appears to be a token grind similar to Crownfall with minigames on the side and some new cosmetics that can be unlocked by progressing. There are more parts that will release over the the course of the next month that will expand on it
I'd like Team Vision to win, they previously played under the 'Parivision' or 'Pvision' names but can't for The International due to anti gambling org name rules. Last year they came in 3rd place with mostly the same roster, only offlaner and coach are different now.
I mostly want them to win because it would solidify Puppey's claim to GOAT status as their coach. He was robbed of the best chance in his career to get a second Aegis after The International was cancelled due to covid when Team Secret were by far the best team in the world.
Other reasons I support them to win -
Satanic is in my opinion the most standout young player since Sumail, he has an exciting aggressive playstyle and hero pool (watch out for his Meepo pocket pick)
No[o]ne is their midlaner who's been playing the role and winning tournaments for 12 years. Most mid players change role well before then as their mechanics fall off as they age and can't keep up with new younger players, he is still top tier.
9Class is the sole reason that Slark support build was nerfed into the ground, before it was patched he was so good he made it a first phase ban against their team. He also plays other unusual support heroes like Monkey King and makes very entertaining plays.
None of the players on their team have ever won The International before!
I'm rooting for Chinese teams to lose. This International is held in China and historically Chinese crowds have always egregiously cheated in favour of Chinese teams. They deliberately make noise when a core is in danger from a smoke gank, when enemy teams are trying to sneak Roshan - they've always been a 6th player. So the earlier the 3 chinese teams go out, the earlier that factor is removed and the games will be more enjoyable.
Rooting for Nigma Galaxy to be notable, whether by being good or bad, just to widely invoke the temptation of calling its fans or player "Niggers" such that something funny might happen because of it.
But it's the only fun thing to do as her, that's the problem
