Yes, I get it. Japan is a nice place. It’s beautiful. It’s well run. Things are generally pleasant there. It has nice mountains, forests, and beaches. Crime is low. But leave it alone, okay? It’s the last bastion of the First World to preserve its culture. It has not been overtaken by outside interests. It doesn’t need to be visited by tourists. It doesn’t need people to come in, set up shop, and start changing things.

Japan is a jewel that should be preserved, not flaunted as a fashion piece. If you want an Asian cultural experience, go to Taiwan.

correct, but for the wrong reasons.

you shouldn't go to japan because it's a straight up dystopia. if you do go, you should go literally anywhere other than the urban hellscapes. but there's no heckin animes waifus out there so you'd probably be bored, plus the locals would probably hate you. you can freely witness the soul-harvesting contraption that is tokyo and its 6 gorillion satellite cities from afar without having to actually enter it and put your own soul at risk. plus, asian people are weird and smelly and gross.

Meanwhile on Twitter, actual Japanese people are encouraging Americans to visit and are sharing their favorite spots.

They don't want Muslims, Indians, Chicoms, or Johnny Somalis to come, but they love Americans, especially White conservative Southerners who own guns, drive big trucks, and eat BBQ.
 
They’re a polite society which built up enough repression from those who can’t quite conform and that created a set of cultural exports that attracted the worst type of humans from across the globe. Japan has a lot of problems, which will probably be listed in this thread but their underlying culture is one that promotes productivity, high levels of organization and appreciation of beauty. They have recently started pushing back against degenerate tourists beyond the few private businesses that have always discriminated and have started going more conservative, politically. If they decide to lock the country again, it’d be fair.

There’s plenty of healthy cultural exports that encourage people to see Japan through their eyes and reasons to go as a tourist. Just learn a little of the language and a lot of the etiquette, and don’t be a weeb, and don’t hit the sake faucet in the sushi bar if you’ve already been drinking.

Here's a partial list of things that the Japanese need to change and will likely only change from outside influence:

  • They need Jesus instead of a bastard child of Buddhism and their own pagan religion
  • They should make more babies and correct their plummeting birth rate
  • They should have a work/life balance and let employees go home regardless of when the boss does
  • They should take care of their elderly instead of forcing them to work demeaning, low-paying jobs (ironic for ancestor-worshipping heathens)
  • They should own responsibility for their WWII war crimes
  • They shouldn't discriminate against white people or their neighbors without cause
  • They shouldn't make true but negative opinions a winnable libel lawsuit
  • They should stop producing and marketing loli shit

This is patently untrue. Can't remember where precisely I saw the sign but in red light districts there are signs in like 4 languages that read something like "if you want to have fun with japanese girls please familiarize yourself with the laws" and there's a little office nearby where they give you the lowdown on whoring

I know for certain you can get hookers and blow in Osaka with little trouble, and Susukino in Sapporo is also foreigner friendly. There are lots of brothels and other places closed to foreigners but japs love money

South Korea actually does some of the things on your said list, but they're even more of a shithole than Japan is, and people love to cite them as being the example of "Late-Stage Capitalism":
  • Christianity is a major religion for Koreans, both Korean residents and Koreans that live in other countries.
  • They do make less babies.
  • Their work/life balance is even worse.
  • Instead of how Japanese kill their "useless elderly parents", Koreans choose to kill their own families and themselves when they get into severe financial trouble.
  • They have no crimes for WWII to apologize about, and are still salty about comfort women to the point of previously having a ban on Japanese-made cultural products.
  • They literally have a porn ban, but that hasn't stopped their coomers from getting their fixes in other ways, with some going as far as putting camera in women's changing rooms and toilets.
