For everything being "America First" Trump sure obsesses over literally every country but his own. I guess that's the whole "pretend everything is going great" shtick.
I'm so sick of seeing our tax money going to other countries to help people that can't help themselves, even in the best circumstances. Why do I have to give a shit about anyone other than my fellow countrymen? I don't pay taxes to help motherfuckers I wouldn't even be aware of existing if it wasn't for the constant bombard of news media telling me about places I shouldn't give a shit about since Vietnam. Fuck Israel, fuck Ukraine, fuck Venezuela, fuck NATO, fuck the EU. Fuck all of those other fucking idiots. I'm so sick of hearing about how we're wasting another ten billion on something that does literally nothing for your country. How about we put that money towards helping the actual constituents that you were put in place by to help in the first fucking place. Enact actual palpable change in the country with the billions of dollars we send overseas to the magical black box of bumfuckistan where they burn it for warmth apparently. Who gives a shit because helping people in your own country makes it so you don't have the funds to pay Big Jew, and the military industrial complex that enables people to vaporize brown people which makes them feel better. All the starving people that live in America get to suffer because I guess all of that is more worth it to the powers that be, than their wellbeing. Foreign aid is a pittance compared to how much is pissed away on interest to service the national debt. Donnie's Big Bullshit Bill will add trillions in the next few years even after massively raising taxes on Americans via his dumb ass tariffs.

One thing people need to remember about Trump is he has never had to struggle, work or face any difficulty or hardship whatsoever in his entire life. From birth he was coddled, his daddy helped him dodge the draft and once Fred shit the bed Don got all of that massive inheritance.

He simply does not understand what it means to work for a living because he's never done it.

I guess my point was I'm sick of the US being the world police when we barely have a handle on shit domestically, and I have to constantly hear about countries I don't care about while born and bred US citizens die on the streets. Either way it was just me blogposting anyways and not an actual nuanced take on anything. Its just a symptom of the greater disease so it isn't worth getting in the weeds about.

I know what you mean and don't disagree with you. The pointless waste of money fighting the "War on Terror" during the Bush era is very fresh in my memory, especially now after wasting untold billions if not trillions more on Afghanistan only for them to revert to the same tribal savagery they had before.

Foreign aid should always benefit the American people first. It should never be just cash or credits or whatever, it should always be in the form of American workers providing expertise paid at our wages, or hard assets that can be replenished by putting more Americans to work.

Trump vetoed a bill to get clean drinking water to Republican voters of Colorado. It's expected this was political retribution against Boebert (for wanting Epstein files released) and Colorado (for not freeing Tina Peters from state charges after Trump's federal pardon).


Trump vetoes bill to fund Arkansas Valley Conduit in Colorado​


DENVER — President Donald Trump is using his first veto of his current term to kill funding for a major drinking water project in Colorado.

The Finish the Arkansas Valley Conduit (AVC) Act passed unanimously in the House and Senate.

Monday's veto comes after Trump promised retaliation against Colorado for keeping his ally Tina Peters in prison. Peters was convicted on state charges for a scheme to tamper with voting systems in a search for election rigging in the 2020 presidential race.

The pipeline is in Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert's district. Boebert recently stood up to the Trump administration to force the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Trump is killing the bill to finish the Arkansas Valley conduit, a decades-long project to bring safe drinking water to 39 communities on the Eastern Plains between Pueblo and Lamar. The groundwater there is high in salt, and wells sometimes unleash radioactivity into the water supply.

The Arkansas Valley Conduit is the final component of the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project, which was first approved in 1962. In recent years, the cost estimate nearly doubled.

Colorado's Democratic senators have chipped away at the funding gap on the project for more than a decade. Boebert sponsored the House bill to finish the project.

In his veto letter, Trump wrote, "My Administration is committed to preventing American taxpayers from funding expensive and unreliable policies. Ending the massive cost of taxpayer handouts and restoring fiscal sanity is vital to economic growth and the fiscal health of the Nation."

In a statement, Boebert said, "President Trump decided to veto a completely non-controversial, bipartisan bill that passed both the House and Senate unanimously. If this administration wants to make its legacy blocking projects that deliver water to rural Americans; that's on them."

Boebert said she hopes "this veto has nothing to do with political retaliation for calling out corruption and demanding accountability. Americans deserve leadership that puts people over politics."

The Senate and House sent the bill to the president by voice vote, suggesting there could be wide margins to overturn his veto if Republican leaders in the House and Senate allow an override vote. It's rare for presidential vetoes to be overridden by Congress, but also rare for a president to veto a bipartisan, unanimous bill as he promises retaliation against a specific state.
