The "protests" that happened in the Zocalo was mostly old Anarcho communists and PRI-PAN fags stirring shit up. They claimed hundreds of thousands when they, at best, had like 800 people in the zocalo. A stark contrast to when Claudia addressed the nation after the whole "liberation day" fiasco that trimp pulled. The zocalo that day was so full, people were in the street blocks to listen and celebrate.

PRI-PAN has been signal boosting those stupid protests to try and Jan 6th the government. They did it before a year ago with the judicial reform (it didnt go far). They tried again today and got like 50 old faggots to walk in the street with those stupid One piece flags.

Overall Mexico approves of Sheinbaum and MORENA, as well as its progress going well. Mexico nowadays went from 1980s america to 2016 America in terms of the technology being available under MORENA. Even now, despite Trump's attempts to make mexico suffer, Mexico has been doing well for itself seeing as they found buyers in China and the EU now. Furthermore, as trump bitches and moans, Mexico finished building that railway that cuts through mexico to Veracruz on special facilities that will unload the trains & load onto the ships directly. Ultimately cutting the necessity of the Panama Canal (not to the extent that its not unused. It is still being used) which has led to Panama's desperation by clinging to the US.

Overall, Mexico somehow is fucking over the US in very small ways while having the laugh (iirc Sheinbaum is how Canada is modeling their responses to Trump too!)

I have no doubt he would gas the immigrants in the detention centers if he could get away with it. As it is, some have died in there and more have gone missing. His idea of a utopia is a country filled with millionaires/billionaires, with AI and automation doing the grunt work. He's trying to weed out the "undesirables" (i.e., the rest) from the bottom up by denying them affordable healthcare, housing, and basic human services, as well as depriving them of jobs. His latest proposal is to cut 80,000 employees from the VA.

I remember the aftermath of MORENA's second victory.

The disbelief in the eyes of the PRI politicians led to panic, realizing how fucked they are. They resorted to an alliance with the PRD and PAN, which ended in a catastrophic failure.
Now you see them trying to emulate stupid shit from Trump and Bolsonaro, even resorting to swearing during their speeches to sound "tired with the government, dudes". Rather than stepping back and spending their diminishing resources on other angles, they are wasting them all in failed protests, bribing Mexican twitter personalities to speak against Sheinbaum with no effect.

I am 95% sure they will put Salinas Pliego, the nonunion Mexican equivalent of Trump, to save their asses during the next election mostly because he has to pay them now that there is a government that he can't bribe.
And then there is Trump, who is seething non-stop when seeing that a woman has a bigger popularity ranking with her own people, as well as slowly opening new trade deals with countries that aren't the US.
Mexico still has a lot of shit to improve, but for the first time in ages, things are steadily getting better. That's why the orange retard is fuming: He can't accept that a country next to his is improving while he sinks his own with his sheer retardation.

Except. They never lived through it. 2006 Mexico was what the Republicans claim it is today. Soldiers on the streets, constant gun fights between narcos and soldiers as well as between the Narcos themselves. Thousands of mexican civilians disappeared thanks to the government or the cartels in reprisals. Even soldiers gunning down civilians because they were out past curfew.

Sheinbaum's approach is to address the economics which ultimately cause people to go to the cartels in desperation. Something which trump cant succeed at because all he does is proclaim how he is the best because.. fuck if Iknow!

All socialists are like this once they control the entire sector, fascism really is just socialism of all industries rather than just healthcare, schools and busses/trains, as at least in practice this is the end result of all fully socialist nations. Also, Trump isn't behind Banning Books or defunding the arts, and demonizing educators is something every generation has done. When I was in school I did that myself. The others are definitely parallel, but all of those he only does because people have been craving a politician who tells press to stfu and stop interrupting people since I've been born. Also, it's really the old press, podcasts, social media journalism etc. Are more promoted. It's really just switching who does the job now. Anyone can be a journalist on social media so it become either quality of content, quantity of content, or quality of clickbait which dominates. Unfortunately since the final type is the easiest, even though the other 2 are more profitable, you have content farms like Quartering or Keffals be recommended more than creators like Hank Green or Nikandros for example. Also, due to the amount of information everyone has at their fingertips, a lot of the best news is investigations on otherwise niche things. Much like how this site has 10 trillion pages documenting every follicle of armpit hair on Chris Chan despite the fact that there's also some genuine journalism that this site did better than legacy media (ie, Tyler Robinson and other shooter's personal lives to understand more of their mo).

The real issue is Trump is a symptom to what was already happening. Same with Hitler. People wanted a Hitler, and a lot of people wanted a Trump. Because he promised things people wanted. Now most of them never got them as Hitler famously cared more for rich Jewish scientists than he did about poor Germans (outside of Weimer Republic members, Hitler was more than willing to hire rich Jewish people to work with him) just as Trump cares more about the obscenely wealthy bleached just from Africans replacing all of America with h1-bs than he does about poor Americans. But the rhetoric he employed is popular because people genuinely want things to change. The way things are is bad. Now, Trump is bad too, but staying stagnant is too. The real issue imho was going back to Trump and not electing someone new. We already saw who he was in term 1. The real issue is trusting that racism will ever be superior to self improvement. No, you're not better than Jordan Peele because you're white if you live in a homeless shelter and he's black and successful, as Dave Chapelle famously put it. "I saw some poor racist white folks voting for Trump saying 'darnald Tromp's gonna go to Warshington and he's gonna fight for us.' and I was like 'You dumb mother fucker, you are poor. He's fighting for me'"
 
We've talked about how if Trump tries to run again, that would open the way for Obama to run. But that would also open the way for Bush Jr to run again.

Bush Jr was pretty popular during his terms among Republicans. Just as a thought experiment, because we all know that Trump can't run again (even though he'll probably try; despite what his chief of ass-kissing thinks, narcissists don't joke), what do we think the Republicans would do if faced with a different choice of candidate? A proven administrator with known popularity and goodwill.

I remain convinced that Biden won largely because he was a popular, known quantity among the Democrats. He picked Harris to attract the rest of the liberal Democrats who did not really like him/Obama. Would Bush Jr do the same for the non-migger Republican base?
