This is a totally separate question but what is a good resource on investigating DJT's legal issues? His entire life has been so marked by litigation that I can't find a proper time or place to start at. 4,000+ cases is a pretty insane amount after all.

His ardent supporters love the rudeness. It's part of the attraction. Childish insults are front and centre in today's conservative media, which is crazy when you think of what conservatism is supposed to represent.

When a certain type of person, often with an external locus of control, sees 'important' people acting and speaking like schoolyard bullies it empowers them to do the same. Not long ago, I ran across a man at a local store who was wearing a giant foam MAGA cowboy hat. In Canada. If he wanted to support the edgy conservative version of 'local' (aka English-speaking white folks and 'good' non-whites born here) there are many options in the same area but he chose a store in a French district where most of the staff are recently arrived immigrants and foreign students, as are many of the shoppers. He strode around for ages, not picking anything up until he finally grabbed a small item and headed to the checkout area.
This grandstanding asshole proceeded to choose a register with a long line, deciding to stand and wait behind customers with loaded baskets rather than quickly make his purchase at a ten items or less cash or via self-serve, with an Indian cashier. That cashier likely is either an engineering or advanced programming student (those seem to be the fields they choose based on personal experience with classmates) or someone who came here with a medical degree. This man in his giant hat, well, he didn't have that educated air about him. He spoke to her and she looked visibly concerned. Another staff member came to speak with her after he left. I want to give him the benefit of possibly having chosen her cash to say a few nice words and express his happiness to have her choosing to live here but let's be real, no one parades around a grocery store in a giant foam political hat without an attention-seeking agenda.
I try hard to put myself in other people's shoes. I want to find common ground with these supposed conservatives but I keep getting hung up on their childishness and narrow worldview so any attempts at dialogue fall apart, sped up by how they call me names and mock my education while adding racist touches to everything. They relish hurting others to lift themselves. They hate anyone with more knowledge or experience than them. They're afraid of anything different from what they know as part of their immediate circle. They're like jealous children in their bully stage. Trump and his colleagues in the rightwing grift industry know this and they play on these people's weaknesses to enrich themselves. It's disgusting.
I think Elon is bored and loves chaos. I don't think he gives a shit about Trump, he doesn't give a shit about anybody who isn't useful to him, he's just riding the Watch it all burn wave because he's the sort of autist who can't differentiate the real world from the internet and he's old enough to still have early 2000s online edgeload about him. If he gets some sweet, sweet clout and big money contracts out of it, that's a bonus but he's coming across more like a lover of ye olde social experiment than a true believer in the MAGA cause. I bet he hangs in the Thunderdome on slow days.

Seen far less political signs this election than before for both candidates. It's as if the majority of voters are either tired of this shit, or publicly announcing your voting intentions paints a bullseye on your back.
Thanks to the politifag that put a Trump sign on my yard! Plastic signs make great material for temporary patching up holes in my greenhouse.

I think people are both unimpressed by both candidates and are fatigued by the whole “you can’t stay on the sidelines” mentality that both parties exhibit. That is why Harris is trying to be as down the middle and be the Generic Democrat as much as possible. I could see it potentially backfiring as enthusiasm amongst Trumptards is high enough to potentially result in a victory if most potential Harris voters are more apathetic. Regardless of the yard signs and Elon going full retard on Xitter, it’s going to be a close election and could see it going either way at this point.

I think it’s both. I think a lot of former Trumpers are tired of it and taking down signs to avoid further embarrassment. On the other side, the Dems never were as evangelical as the Reps so to compare the Harris signs to Trump is a dishonest comparison. Also, there appears to be an uptick in targeting of people with Harris/Walz signs/stickers in red areas. I live in a blue state and I’d never put a sticker or sign in my property because people are fucking crazy.

2 reasons:
1) Elon was properly incentivized. He's lost a substantial portion of his networth because of his dumbass mouth locking him into buying Twitter. Then destroyed by turning it into what amounts to a bot infested, political propaganda platform that advertisers, sponsors, influencers and investors have left in droves. He's nothing without government grants. He'd be upside down instantly if those government checks stop keeping Starlink and SpaceX afloat. If Trump wins, he needs to be in a safe position.
2) Elon is a mentally ill man-child who craves adoration and praise. He thought he'd get that by buying Twitter, restructuring the site to make him the most visible and "freeing it" from the oppression of moderation. But that's not quite what happened. (See above point). At the end of the day, he wants praise and cheering fans telling him how amazing he is. Hitching himself to the MAGA cult next to Trump will get him that for the time being.
