I've heard about this from varying sources, though the details are murky. What is consistent is that Trump wears veneers, has them changed way more rapidly than they should be against standard dental practice, and by doing so, has caused serious issues with his teeth. This is why he slurs during certain speeches and interviews. It's been happening more often since 2017 or so.

Honestly, I thought the issue with the Thunderdome was that it was full of the most cynical people on the website combined with the folks who come across as too right wing for /pol/ and Gab and found themselves exiled from every platform where you’d set up an account.

It’s all one big echo chamber of folks who think MAGA is a global movement and that the only reason the most insane of policies (particularly when it comes to immigration and non native populations and Islam) don’t come to pass is because of evil shadow forces stopping the will of patriots.

Even in that post he made on Truth Social I posted where he bragged about how the "actual recording" (the one I presume he has on Youtube) makes him sound better but when I listened to it, he still sounds very slurred and with a lisp.
 
I do wonder sometimes, if someone offered Trump a magical button that would let him exit politics completely while also erasing all the trouble he caused for himself during his time in office and any negative perception he thinks he would get from such an action, if he wouldn't press it in a heartbeat. Dude seems to be stuck in a death spiral he can't get out of.

I think he's coming to a realization that he wont win this election. I know the election is still 2 months out and anything can change in that time, but he isn't going to turn his poll numbers around acting like a lifeless shell of a man.

I don't think what he says and does even matters anymore. He's an avatar for the remaining MAGA movement that hasn't decided being pissed off all day every day at (mostly) straw men doomsday actors is exhausting while nothing ever happens.

Personally, I think he's just hoping bitching and complaining about whatever he calls "Radical Left" and "Election Interference" and the Border (legitimate as it may be) will be enough to either cause him to fail upwards again, or cause another "guided tour" at the Capitol in his honor.

I don't think he even wants to be president again except it's the only way to soothe his ego from his loss to Biden before he pops a blood vessel and falls over from a stroke. It's why Biden dropping out has sent him into an absolute tailspin he can't seem to pull out of. The dude wrote fan fiction, a few times, about Biden secretly still running, who will show up ANY MOMENT NOW to challenge him and sent that shit for the world to see.

Now he's been shot at and KopMalla is pulling crowds bigger than his. His ego can't handle it. Going so far as to just throw it out there that it's all AI and hoping it stuck was desperate af.

He's lost his muse.

This has been my theory for a while: the only reason why he’s running in 2024 is because of the various charges being brought against him. I think if they didn’t, he’d have fucked off with TruthSocial and various other small-time cons and grifts until he ate one double quarter pounder too many.

It's pretty sad really. If you look at his Truth Social account, the vast majority of posts fall into one of two categories:

1. Trump complaining about being victimized by the media, pollsters, Google, various judges etc. Everyone is being unfair to him, everyone is bullying him.
2. Hyperbolic claims about the state of the country or about Kamala Harris. The economy is already completely destroyed and Kamala Harris is going to destroy it some more while giving green cards to Venezuelan rapists and outlawing Christmas.

It's bleak. He also desperately needs a meme czar, because some of the stuff he's reposting unironically is too Facebook even for Boomers.

That's the issue with echo chambers of any kind; when in them, one can fall into a false sense that everyone thinks like and agrees with you. The majority of people are not extremist: they are okay with immigration as long as it's controlled so that criminals don't come into their country, they favor some sort of gun control so that children aren't murdered at school and so families can go to a mall in peace, and they think fetuses who are developing literally without heads should be aborted. It's not that hard to be sane.

I think Trump has a settle to score: he doesn't want to go to jail, of course, but he also wants to prove the majority of Americans wanted him as President. Which they never did. So, our national nightmare continues.

The stock price of Truth Social is apparently down 25% since its height.

I am curious that if he loses, keyword being if, would he still try to run in 2028. I mean even if he is prosecuted, he is still legible to run from jail unless he's prohibited too, and I don't think that there's any other candidate that Trump supporters would gravitate towards since he entire GOP is now just the Trump party.

I suspect - and i could be wrong (years ago i thought Meatball Ron would be the post Trump frontrunner) it will be Nikki Haley in 2028. She’s one of the few non 60+ geriatric white guy in the GOP.

I doubt it. One of the underlying things of Trump and MAGA is that a new candidate is needed for new issues facing the country, and sticking with the status quo of tax breaks isn’t going to cut it. And Trump showed that with his campaign promises, and Ron has addressed those things as governor of Florida. Not only that, his supporters emphasized that we can’t go back to the “losing with dignity” act and that the right should show no mercy to the left, because the left won’t.

The only real issue is that Trump has made it about “Deep State vs True Patriots” and has placed practically everyone in politics on both sides of the spectrum in the former camp.
