At the follow up conference, while Putin ranted about history autism again, Trump recounted the homework Putin gave him.
They both said great progress was made, but them not taking questions, Trump being unusually subdued and quiet (did his love scold him?), and Putin leaving right after, even though more stuff was planned, paint a different picture.
In light of that, I wonder what that supposed deal they struck could be. Was it nothing at all, merely a face saving exercise? Or is a Russian operation to further drive a wedge between the US and NATO? Trump did revel in Putin telling him he wouldn't have invaded under Trump (lol sure), and Trump responded with his "Russia Russia Russia" nonsense, recalling 2018 when he openly stated he believes Putin about election interference instead of the entire American intelligence community.
He got Trump to rave about how Zelenskyy started the war by merely telling Trump he will meet him IRL after all.
Anything short of a severe sanctions package as a result of this will make it a great Russian victory due what a gift it was to the Russians.
What a clown show. Business as usual for this administration though.
