It's simple, the current administration is fully Leninist. I studied Marx from a Chinese point of view when I worked there. What they're doing is basically Leninist economics, or we like to claim as state-capitalism. In this case, it really is state-capitalism because the government owns a stake in vital industries, not as a means to subsidise the prices so it's cheaper for all, but as a means to exert control and enrich themselves. When China does that, I get to ride the subway for two yuan. It's running at a loss and these ridiculous Chinese infrastructure projects hire locals to create jobs.
Where are the cheaper SSDs and RAM chips? What about the promised thousands of hires in data centres? Now the pedo cabal wants 10% of OpenAI too. All while Chinese fully open source models are 85% as good and they can run locally on average hardware.
