💼 Careercow Donald J Trump - 45th/47th President of the USA, convicted felon, Epstein bro, Putin/Netanyahu simp, serial liar, sore loser, cheat and the Chris-Chan of Presidents. Lost a war to Iran and algae. THIS IS NOT USPG2.

You absolutely have a choice. A lot of bottled water is filtered municipal water. Just get a water filter. You'll also save youself from ingesting microplastics (no, that's not a left-wing conspiracy) and contributing to the plastic bottle waste problem. You'll also save yourself a lot of money in the long run.
This would be ok for people who live in the city and dont depend on groundwater wells that are connected to the affected watersheds. Filters can only do so much, and no filter is going to restore the ability to safely eat fish and game from polluted systems. But hey, those poor country bumpkins wont have to worry about having clean water when the data centers suck the watertable so much, surrounding wells go dry, because they wont have water to worry about.
There is something terribly wrong with the system when you cant eat what you catch or drink from you own property, because some rich fucker, a thousand miles away, MIGHT lose a few dollars in profit.

Down the street from where I live there are two ponds, separated by a walkway. The larger pond has a fountain in the middle,, so the water moves. When I was walking the dog this morning I noticed that only the far edge of the larger pond, which is shallow and where the movement of the water doesn't reach, had algae. The smaller pond, which is entirely stagnant, is full of algae. Standing water is going to form algae. That's just how it is.

Maybe instead of investing millions more dollars in filtration, which will only go so far (I read somewher that Joe Biden was told it would cost $100 million to "fix" the problem properly, and he declined because of the expense), they should just get the water moving.

I envision:

small "laminars" around perimeter of the pond.

OR "mushroom jets" inside the pool.

As an added bonus they can be lit up at night.

I know, I know, that would defeat the original concept of it being entirely reflective, but apparently the algae problem has been a hedache since the thing was constructed, and it certainly gets in the way of the reflecting. They can just change its name (as long as it's not changed to anything with Trump in it).

My favorite part is that the algae isnt a new phenomenon. This has happened under every president for at least 40 years, maybe longer.
Didn't he spend weeks seething on Pedo Social about the algae issues under Barack Hussein Obongo?

Hey, now that's an idea, when you think of it.

That's delightful, we only need the biggest golden fountain to create the biggest golden showers, just the way Donnie likes it.

Didn't the major microplastics papers get retracted or something? iirc. it turned out the gloves used in the lab when detecting microplastics in everything shed microplastics or something.

(Plus there was some kerfuffle about the funding source or promotion of the research, but that's more into the conspiratorial territory.)
I'm sceptical about the microplastics thing. They are ubiquitous but the harm they're doing is largely unexplored. I'm not going to have an opinion on it. I do use a water filter and all my meat/fish are "organic". I guess on some level I don't like it, but there's not much we can do.
- avoid plastic utensils
- learn how to cook, that is, throw that plastic coated pan in the trash. Use stainless steel, carbon steel and cast iron cookware, not plastic.
- learn how to cook popcorn in a pot, microwave popcorn pouches are not only more expensive, they are coated with plastic
Does this do much? I don't think so, but it does make your life better so why not?

This will cause miggers to oink and squeal but there needs to have “defeated by algae” in the title of this thread.
I can do one better.

The harm/effect was always unanswered, but a ton of the papers about it has been retracted as well (so many that finding the details of recent stuff is hard, retractions go back to 2017), and the last headline was that some of the research about how ubiquitous it was might not hold up to scrutiny because the lab equipment shed microplastics, which they apparently didn't account for.

these tweets and posts by Trump are as unhinged as I would expect if a tranny was President of the USA. If these posts are done to scare Iran then he is delusional at best; if these posts are to impress his support base then at the least that is extremely sad and pathetic.

Hasnt Trump heard of an infinity pool? It would provide filtration while at the same time giving a nice flat appearing surface and thus the reflection.

I doubt Trump ever swims given his figure; but still.

This guy wields too much power in government.

Ahhhh yes, let's get rid of all vaccine mandates in a highly populated tropical region with a history of receiving impoverished immigrants from the Caribbean and Latin America!
Can only go well I'm certain ;)

Also, Trump and Iran are STILL making contradictory statements about the Strait of Hormuz, meanwhile the strategic petroleum reserve is reportedly at the lowest its been since the Reagan administration. Things may yet get a whole lot worse!
