My dog is a very good dog. Strangers stop in their tracks to meet him. Coffee shops, wine stores, and doormen hand out treats when he visits. He smiles. My dog, with his wide, caramel, human-like eyes, hypoallergenic fur, and drawer of seasonal and themed bandanas would never cause a problem.

I'm sure that's what everyone with a dog thinks about their own best friend, but the unleashing of a pro-dog culture over the past decade has spiraled out of control. It seems dogs are everywhere. The number of households that own dogs has jumped from 35 million in 1991 to 60 million in 2024...

I was working a seasonal job in Yellowstone National Park when some poor dumb dog that should have been left home decided to take a dip in one of the boiling hotsprings. Some retard who didn't even own the dog immediately jumped in despite people trying to stop him and then died an agonizing death in a hospital. Thank fuck I didn't witness it since I was working in the resort but what a pointless way to lose your life. This has happened more than once btw.

Is it really that hard to leave your dog at home? Or is it just fun having the danger of giving your dog hearing damage and the chance it will be forcefully ejected from a vehicle and have broken legs/arms and seriousand possibility debilitating road rashes. I heard a story of this happening to a German Shephard that got dragged for a while and had a roadrash covering its entire half.

I can't count the number of magatards i've seen hate on children, say abortion is murder and then post about their dogs. This is not just a liberal problem anymore.

At least the conservatives are having/or had kids. The antinatalist literally push for fewer children being born bc of "muh environmental impact" while dog shit is one of the three top contributors to water pollution. That dumb bitch Carol Sharpe probably thinks dog shit makes good fertilizer.

I mean kids can be annoying but that doesn't mean they should be murdered in the womb.

What I've noticed about Boomers is they are annoying about their dogs but wouldn't hesitate to blast away an aggressive loose dog. Crazy blue haired women will try to adopt a fucking a pitbull scheduled to die after eating a toddler.

Vegans and vegetarian dog/cat owners are the worst tho. They are either hypocrites or toture their pets by feeding them an inadequate diet.

I ran over a BAG of dog shit the other day and smeared it down the street. Was wondering what smelled so bad outside until I came back to my car and saw the tire track with dog shit. Had to immediately go thru a car wash, but could still smell the dog shit near my car when I got home. I also saw bags of dog shit at a national park recently. Seriously why pick up the shit if you’re gonna throw it on the ground somewhere even more inconvenient?

Dogs make me feel autistic with how many sensory assaults they manage to accomplish. Stinky waste that sits outside, shedding, odor if not bathed constantly, etc etc. I am having problems connecting with others who have dogs at this point in my life, because it feels like liking dogs is contributing to anti social/anti human behavior. Someone I know said they have dog food on autoship to the shelter because they care more about feeding hungry dogs than hungry people. Dogs have evolved into a sort of brood parasite on us.

Not saying you're wrong but I haven't experienced that here. It's bipartisan. I think the fact most of the American public regards children as lower than dogs is a cause for alarm.

Around here every boomer got bored with their ebikes and got dogs instead. Despite newly updated leash laws and painted warnings like every 100 metres of asphalt, every park is filled with confused boomers with either a unleashed dog or a fully extended retractable leash going across the park path like a clotheline. Roughly 99% of them don't clean up after their shitty mutts, either.

Oh I completely agree I just think they exhibit different shades of insanity when it comes to dogs. Kinda like how the genders are crazy in different ways when it comes to dog obsession. I see a lot of men talking about how their dogs are more loyal than women while women just talk about how much their dogs unconditionally love them.

Also dont forget Walsh has a lot of hate followers especially after he did that 30 minute sarcastic as fuck rant about shitbulls. I mean I won't lie I hate follow more than one person myself

I always thought the benefit of owning pets was that you didn’t have to take them everywhere all the time. And I agree, it’s dangerous as fuck to keep a dog in the back of a pickup truck.

I’ve seen this shit (no pun intended) on numerous occasions. There was a response on Nextdoor that was something like “if you can’t remember to pick up after your pets, maybe you shouldn’t have one” which created a lot of “who hurt you?” “wow, just wow”, etc. Pet owners feel it is everyone’s job to accommodate them.
