It was actually a croc he kept as a pet in the backyard of his house. A couple years ago this guy and his pets became sorta famous when he posted a video of his dog scaring off the croc when it came out of the water and ever since then people have been showing up for years to see the little pupper harassing the crocodile. The guy kept letting it happen for nearly 10 years because he enjoyed the attention he was getting until the day one of his pets got fucking pissed and ate the other. Really there's nothing about this that isn't the old bastards fault.
Really though, I hate that the poor dog was eaten, but to let this happen for 10 years before retaliating that's an unusually patient crocodile.

Hmmm, lets let a small dog, known for it's yappy and aggressive temperament irritate a reptile from a species that has had no need to evolve because of how efficient a predator it is. Can't see how this will end poorly.
My guess is that because the croc didn't end the little shit-machine earlier the owners thought their little rat was safe and that a small dog tormenting a croc was funny, so obviously they needed footage of their pwecious widdle dog being tough.
