Does Chris realise it was rape?

Given the amount of narcissistic grooming his mother put into him, his perverse love for her does make a kind of sense. After all, she was the only woman allowed to be in his life. She clung to him, just like she clung to the rest of her horde.
I doubt she's as out of it as she appears, she may have even encouraged it as one more sick way to control him, but when shit hits the fan and the cards are down she dumps her problems on Chris, because Chris lets her.
 
I think Chris ha a very basic understanding of rape that tells him that if, at any time for any reason, a woman says yes that it's OK. It's likely that he doesn't understand the concept of consent under pressure or threat being akin to actual rape. We know that by his admission, Barb originally told him no. She turned him down, so what did he do to turn that no into a yes? He implies that he kept the pressure on, but did he withhold anything from her or did he try again after she'd taken some medication? Did she actually consent or just stop fighting and accept her fate, hoping it would end quickly? Lots of questions, hopefully she's answering them for the police.
 
It's kind of just really depressing to be honest. I don't know what kind of mental state Barb is in but one could say she misses Bob so much that she just kind of....let it happen? If this would be the case, it would be Chris taking advantage of her.
 
I don't think he does. I think he genuinely believes she wanted it and consented to it, just because he's so incredibly deluded. And I think whatever shame he does have about the situation, it's probably not that.
 
Chris never thought of it one way or the other. He isn't capable of considering higher concepts like this. He can only comprehend what he currently wants.
 
Yeah he did. He's high functioning autistic, not (clinically) retarded. He loves playing up his mental illness to avoid negative consequences and responsibility and he most likely believes it will get him out of this situation as it has done for all the times before this one.
 
I have a feeling the only way Chris would say he's a proud rapist is if someone with a feminine voice talked to him and lied about having a rape fetish. That is how retarded Chris is
 
I said this in another thread, but when Null originally heard about Chris's "over 50" quote unquote "girlfriend" he should have noticed something was off, because normally chris just spouts off whatever the fuck privileged information he has to anybody. That he didn't in this case implies he knew that he was doing something fucked up. If not rape, something most people would find so repulsive that even for him it would be a lot.

Maybe chris really is delusional enough to think she "wanted" this. In the chatlogs he basically says he was hurting her but "eventually she came around". Maybe he tells himself there was consent, but I think even he knows that's fucking impossible.
 
I can think of three examples: Emily, Catherine and Megan: In their interactions with Chris, they made it clear, they did not want to be touched by Chris. Fucker does so anyway. He has no concept of consent. With Barb, I assume Chris looks at her being weak. Plus the fact that they have had an unusual relationship, see the Snyder Court Case. I figure Chris thought to himself "the only woman who wouldn't reject me would be my mom." So that's when things went down the way they did.

As an aside, this is why Chris can't be considered a woman; clearly he's thinking with his duck and not his mind.
 
Chris 100% knew what he was doing was wrong. He had to groom barb into it. I believe Chris just said fuck it I’m a goddess and I’m going to this because it’s what I want. It’s just all so fucked up. Ive followed Chris since 2013 this was never anywhere close to how I saw this panning out. My mind is still blown.
 
Possible scenarios from the information we have right now:
Not rape:​
  1. Sex never took place and Chris is lying about it/it was an idea planted into his head (unlikely given the evidence but still technically possible given the information we currently have).​
  2. Barb is competent according to the legal definition and consented to the alleged activity (also unlikely given what he said in the leaked call).​
  3. Chris is not competent according to the legal definition and is not legally responsible for his actions, regardless if Barb gave consent.​
Rape:​
  1. Barb is competent according to the legal definition and did not consent to the alleged activity.​
  2. Barb is not competent according to the legal definition and her consent to the alleged activity is irrelevant to the charge of rape.​

Hindsight is one hell of a drug, but what he did is so bizarre and outré, beside being so gross and vile, that one can forgive Jersh for not realising it.
 
I get the impression from the way hes carried himself in the texts and the phone call that he believed there was something there or some connection or something, he wasn't talking about it like he was raping her besides the comments about her saying no initially.

It sounds like Chris groomed her but at the same time their relationship is so fucked up and inappropriate that who knows.
 
He knew it was wrong and knew to cover it up, but I don’t think he has a personal concept of rape because he doesn’t seem to realize that other people are sentient beings that exist outside of the way he perceives his own interactions with them. I guess everyone is self-centered in that way but normal people’s brains develop past that when they’re about 6 or 7 years old, unlike severe autists and serial killers.
Anyways I think Chris is about as innocent as Ed Gein.
