I keep watching/reading/playing a series, and while I enjoy the first part of the series, the second part becomes this miserable mess of nonsense.
Now this is different than something like Empire Strikes Back, because instead of just putting the characters in a bad situation, they just focus on how miserable characters are after the events of the first part.
It just feels lazy.
Famous examples are The Last of Us Part 2, Your Honor season 2, Joker 2.
For me it just taints the stuff I liked, and it feels super forced to evoke an emotion with little to no effort rather than writing something competent.
