Do you use RSS? What are some interesting feeds you follow? - Post links, don't PL.

I can even get temperamental RSS feeds like private torrent trackers, pages behind CloudFlare and even Kiwi Farms (thanks to KiwiFlare) working, that didn't work elsewhere.
Wasn't a fan of how clunky RSSGuard felt to work with when I tried it a while ago, but I'm considering trying it out again if it can still do the above mentioned. Did it just work out of the box or did you have to modify with some form of authentication to get KF feeds? I normally use ttrss and there's probably some way of making it work there but the dev is staunchly anti-spoonfeeding and getting it running independently is probably not worth the trouble.

It's surprising how many news sites still have RSS enabled, obviously its probably because of legacy features but its rather convenient, I don't have any particular news site to single out but it helps with keeping up with local news and various tech assorted information (and also some public trackers), if you follow a news site, chances are it likely has an RSS feed hidden somewhere

To get the KF feeds in RSS Guard, I had to do the following:
- Must use the full RSS Guard with a web engine (not the Lite version)
- Enable HTTP/2 in Settings > Network, web and tools -> Network
This setting alone will get past anything protected by CloudFlare, but not KiwiFlare.

- Open some other RSS feed and put in the Kiwi Farms url, as seen in this image:

This will then load the main page and pass KiwiFlare, and you can now add the Kiwi Farms RSS feed (https://kiwifarms.st/forums/-/index.rss) to RSS Guard.
Once its initially added, its simpler. You open any KF page in the web engine by pressing the URL button in RSS Guard to pass KiwiFlare every 24 hours or so. And it keeps updating.

Yeah I ended up working out how to do it after my last post. Unfortunately (and I have no idea why asides from what was mentioned in this issue) the full version of RSS guard has been extremely slow specifically with content viewing for some reason. Lite fixed the issue but as you mentioned it can't pass cookies from any site with even minor bot guard protection.

I have found it better than TTRSS for now though (I just prefer standalone apps) especially with this plugin so I'll either fix the lag somehow or stick with lite. Thanks for the reply.

Has anyone managed to get tweets in RSS format? I have tried on nitter, but haven't gotten anywhere with it. Rss.app requires a subscription
If by "haven't gotten anywhere with it", you mean it doesn't work, xcancel (nitter instance) also supports rss feeds and demonstrably works (per personal use), If neither of them work for you the issue might be with your feed reader, some just don't support nitter's feed implementation like fluent reader for example (though I don't know why).

Yeah, I'm using Thunderbird and getting a 404 error. I'll see about getting RSS guard or another alternative later today. Worth the momentary pain in the ass to not have to deal with platforms.

RSS is like greatest consoooomer tool out there. You can follow shit without destroying your attention span via algorithm. Sad tho because no support at all but you can understand them, if they let people know about RSS their sneaky algoritm would fail and they would lose money.

I use this in telegram https://thefeedreaderbot.com

It can get rss from socials, it looks like it's free to do, premium gives you updates every 30 mins instead of 4 hours. I just use it for some music stores that rss all new and 2nd hand gear they add to their sites.
