They're hooked to everything that's toxic: social media, gender wars, TikTok, pornography, etc (and this is by design), the economy seems to be shit, laws are retarded (legacy, poorly written legislation that will take decades to fix, even if we get on it right now), the new era of tech is retarded (loss of privacy, no ownership of products (licenses/subscriptions), loss of anonymity (you are on the grid, as your phone number and email is required for very important stuff, they'll require your ID soon enough)), bureaucracy is designed to be shit, major corruption in high spheres (now blatant), major propaganda, and you're getting colonized by 3rd worlders.
In a world like this, you are considered the sheep, well, more like plancton, and a lot of measures are put in place so that you continue to be useful for certain people, and you stay in line.
I don't think they're strong enough to overcome this conditioning, they're tools for a cause. To not be a tool for starters, you need to develop some level of critical thinking, but so far from what I've seen, this is not the case.
The absolute retardation on display when in regards to US politics for example, in all aspects shows the idiocy of the new era (e.g: you have retards fighting immigration laws, laws that if broken would benefit the corporations they themselves are against, and would financially damage the poor person in the long run; you also have retards wanting to be scammed on the basis of their virtue-signaling, yet they don't know how damaging it is to them & the country; etc).
Some things remain the same for millenia, the higher ups using literal retards as a form of control.
