I've been smoking almost 30 years and you can't hear it at all in my voice. You'd think I'd be all gruff by now, but no.

I got one at work not long ago. An older woman who knew my stepdad and mom comes into my work, and she just randomly starts talking about how I could do radio with my voice. I guess because of how I enunciate? It was a nice compliment, especially since having a Southern accent, we get shit on a lot (she's even more Southern sounding than me though). I also had a guy compliment me on how I sounded while reading some info I googled for him, also at work.
On the flipside, once I uploaded a vocaroo for shits and giggles on /int/ years ago and someone asked me if I was a gurl. When I said yes, they said "But one of those that was once a man right?" Fucking retarded non-Americans.

I actually started talking about a woman I knew through the metal scene here who hosted a metal show in NC States radio station for years, and how I'd like to do that. Unfortunately, it's a student thing, and it'd be a money drain and I'm an old almost 40 geezer now, so it'd probably all be woketards at the college. A fun fantasy that I'd get to play metal for five people on the air though. I'd have to gnash my TERFy teeth while playing the rare college made commercial for "marginalized genders".
