I’m open to the possibility of it being legit, but so far every single instance or person purporting to have psychic abilities has been proven to be a fraud, so I err on the side of “it’s all bullshit”

I don't at all, but I'll tell you a creepy story.
When my oldest child was 8 or 9, she was away visiting family. My brother in law had a woman walk up to him, total stranger he'd never seen before, say "I don't know why but I have the strangest feeling -my daughter's name- wants me to tell you she says hi."
My sister freaked out thinking something had happened to my kid and she was contacting them from beyond the grave.
It turned out she was fine, but at the time when she apparently sent this telepathic message through a stranger she was at a place that reminded her of her uncle (same kind of place he worked and took her to a lot) and was missing her aunt and uncle.

Yeah. But I think the universe or god chooses who to send messages and warnings to. I don’t think it runs on the capitalist notion of “pay me to see your future” / “service rendered” logic.
