Stalker and Metro are extremely popular in Russia (and Ukraine (and Belarus)). It feels like communities of these games are exclusively made out of Slavs. Do American gaymers even know about existence of these games?

Stalker and Metro are pretty well-known in the US these days, I'd say. They're not at CoD-levels, but they've gotten more popular over time, just not as popular as they are elsewhere. Hell, Metro got all those remasters and whatnot. There are probably loads of more obscure Slav titles from the 2000s that never got attention in the same way.

Última edición:
Stalker has had a resurgence because of youtube videos using mega mods like Gamma. It's likely more popular now than at release simply because there are more people who play games. Games like Gothic, Witcher, and Stalker always had followings from people who thought of themselves as "real gaymers", but your average Skyrim enjoyer like DSP's wife probably never played them.

I'd say they are both known to some extent but are usually heavily overshadowed by the Fallout game series.
Hahaha kys nigger not a fucking chance.

But yea I found the stalker series kind of boring generic shooters. I don't care how open world and rng they are, still feels like a linear shooter.

"Attention S.T.A.L.K.E.R.S., come to 100 Rads Bar!"

Yeah i've played it. It was very realistic. However, there comes a point where realism = boring.
Stalker is so low spec it runs on the scalp of a russian bald man.
