Another thread got me thinking about how much of a psychologically disturbing content enjoyer I happen to be. Please help me find more to satisfy my itch. It can be any type of media although you'll get less points for TV/movies and more points for books/reading material. Also, I know it typically goes hand in hand but gore isn't really what I'm looking for. Things on my list include:

The Exorcist (movie)

Audition (movie)

Negative Space (novel)

Bastard from Carolina (novel)

Blood on the tracks (manga)

Tender is the flesh (novel)

I'm open to anything anyone suggests aside from any tranny/gay shit. Thank you in advance.

Well, you have this already (although you don't really want films, but some of your examples are):

My submission was Begotten, however it's not really that disturbing. It's more experimental horror, and an allegory, but there's no dialogue (silent film), you might get bored eventually if this is not your cup of tea.

I think I read something from Edgar Allan Poe (as a kid, so I don't remember if it was from him), so you chan check him out. This suggestion is a no brainer though, it's Edgar Allan Poe.

Gyo from Junji Ito is has disturbing images. Junji Ito in general is a good source for disturbing content.

Funny Games is disturbing and uncomfortable though out and has one of the most painful long shots in film. Just the simplicity of two guys coming into your house and not leaving. I've only seen the Austrian original but I've heard the American version is good to, I mean it basically shot for shot by same director.
Kiyoshi Kurosawas's Cure is a masterpiece of atmosphere and tone. It's a detective horror that genuinely makes you think about stuff you probably shouldn't. The gore is that nice matter of fact simple stuff, well expect for a scene in a bathroom, that makes the killings more real and disturbing over being just gross.

I would recommend Alice Madness returns, the game is very gothic in appearance and can be surprisingly disturbing a lot of times especially the later half of the game, here is the intro sequence of the game you might like it

A Serbian Film (2010) not gore but you'll be very disgusted.
Thank you I'll check it out. I like to be disgusted.

Really good suggestion although I've already seen it. EAP is good too, thanks for the reminder.
Killing of a Sacred Deer (film, sorry) is pretty fucked up psychologically, but it's hard to explain why without spoiling the movie.
I've heard of it but never seen it. I'll check it out soon. Thank you!

I'll check it out. The trailer looks pretty cool actually. I like the art style a lot.
I like The Triflers, a book written by an edgelord.
Lol should I actually check it out?
Man Behind the Sun and Black Sun: The Nanking Massacre.

Obligatory: Come and See.
I watched the Man Behind the Sun a few days ago thank you for the suggestion. Great movie lol.

I remember Begotten scenes being posted back in the day as "disturbing deep web videos".
