Yeah. Sounds about right. Iger and KK getting involved in their own little slapfight while ignoring the shareholders is what's ultimately going to kill Disney as a whole. They've been killing themselves over DEI over the last decade or so, and it's both funny and sad to watch at the same time. With Disney getting involved in politics and their ongoing feud with Ron DeSantis, I think Disney in general is pretty much dead. There's no saving the company unless someone takes over and completely guts the company to start from scratch.

I've a theory about why Disney kept doubling down in current year values even if it affected the bottom line. Come June every company pretends they care about sexual minorities and people rightfully say that it doesn't mean shit now to show support as a brand because most people either support or are passively indifferent to the movement, if they wanted real cred they should've done it earlier. Disney and other brands are investing in these values on the idea that they might be applauded for being 'forward thinking' once every little activist battle is won and this was so certain for so long that the idea of losing money aided the illusion they actually cared.
