https://youtube.com/watch?v=oyRxxpD3yNwThis looks like an animation test before final rendering. Am I crazy? How are people praising this animation? It looks like shit.

Staring obviously evil white king so evil he can't even pretend otherwise, being taken out by the only black woman in the entire european kingdom sporting dreadlocks and a side buzz.

"100 years in the making."
>King only grants the wishes that would benefit the common good, and doesn't grant every single wish given to him because it would lead to complete and utter chaos
>King is somehow the evil guy in this scenario

This just sounds like the writers watched Bruce Almighty but completely missed the point of the film.

>King only grants the wishes that would benefit the common good, and doesn't grant every single wish given to him because it would lead to complete and utter chaos

we all know what it is. more propaganda.

"MERITOCRACY BAD. GIVING NIGGERS EVERYBODY EVERYTHING THEY WANT GOOD."

I appreciate that even the disney/reddit shills are being drowned out in the overwhelmingly negative reception to this trailer. People are already clowning on the trailers for being discount bruce almighty and the animation looking unfinished.

Intresting note:

The film is helmed by Oscar®-winning director Chris Buck (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (“Raya and the Last Dragon”), and produced by Peter Del Vecho (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster Jones (“Encanto”)

They got the guy that made frozen 2 and raya and the last dragon for their 100th anniversary lmao. Even encanto was mid at best and probably lost money. Nice avengers team guys, what, was the strange world and lightyear directors too busy to heed the call?

Damn, people are never happy with modern animation. What counts for good animation for them?

There's actually quite a few modern classics if you know where to look:
FTFY. There are still plenty of 2D movies being made if you look abroad.
Also, a surprising number of animated series/films that audiences actually like came from one of the most unlikeliest of places: Netflix.

You are a bunch of fucking liars. You are just too damn lazy to want to put in the effort that has been done over and OVER again by the masters. Lee has practically all but admitted she's never watched something like The Thief and the Cobbler where EVERYTHING was hand-drawn.

EDIT: Also I guess this is confirmation that Deep Canvas has been put out to pasture by Disney after Treasure Planet.

Go fuck yourself, you hack cunt. Why are you still in this business when you have no love for the medium? Are you just that much of a good lay?

Limitations breed creativity, too. To use my golden Disney children as an example:
Lilo_and_Stitch_Deleted_Scene.png

The limitation put upon them because of 9/11 allowed them to actually fix a plot hole that was going to be present in the original version (how Jumba and Pleakley came to Earth). Additionally, thanks to the aforementioned re-animation of the climax, they only had enough of a budget left for about two more minutes of footage. This led to the creation of the epilogue montage that showed how Lilo and Nani managed to successfully adjust their lives with Stitch, Jumba, and Pleakley being part of their new family.

I heard this was originally supposed to be a TV show that got turned into a movie.

I find it funny that the movie is trying to portray the villain as in the wrong when he's literally correct.

Also the animation looks so poorly rendered, and felt like it was rushed.
Very very strong Nimona vibes in how they portray the king, too.

Those tend to become shitshows, fast.

It had so much potential... sigh

He's white, that's all you need to know. Also, we are in peak weimar, anything that doesn't make everything about ME and MY desires is considered bad and oppressive.
