I have disabled the ability for all users to invite to any DM. If you make a DM, and you intend for other participants to invite new users, you must enable this box.

Further, because of the permission I disabled, the limits to numbers of participants in a DM now apply. For most users, this is 5. For 'senior' users (can access the TSIC shitposting board), this is 100.

If you have a DM that you desperately need invites enabled for after it has been created, you can request in this thread. All I need is the ID of the conversation. It is in the URL.

Shame that this had to happen. But it was eventually going to happen

Wasn't that the default (or old) behaviour already, in regards to the opt-in box? It is for default XenForo.

Nothing much changes (besides having to deal with just a 100 morons), those DMs are started already with the intention of being annoying, but there was another rule that if you are invited to them without wanting, needing nor being warned, you can report it.

Is this now a thread to dox your silly DM groups? Sounds fun.
Null can you add the option to hide the notifications from a DM? I want to see a new notification ping when only somebody responds to me directly
It would be useful if you could get a notification when you get an @ or reply in DM as well. You can get sticker notifications at least, though that isn't very useful for DMs. lol
