Not sure about that person in particular, but I know plenty of people who are willing to take a troll for a long time for the lulz. Myself included.
His laugh is legit, but I can see where people can believe it's an obnoxious joker LARP, like how Lunatic Leonard was doing.
Honestly, I don't mind someone like Martial Nerd and don't really think he's much of a lolcow or dramacow like Dillin is. The similarities aren't really something I would see as anything special since he's no where near as toxic, at least to what I've seen so far. I am not aware of anything where he throws people under the bus for petty reasons or does edgy things for views only to make a series of apologizes.
Sure, his little skits can seem cringe to some people, but it feels like it's just a dude having fun and laughing at some lolcow, which is relatable. It is kind of lame where he makes constant small videos, though. Would be better to just collect the topics up into one large video, like the dude MN was tweeting about recently.
