This does not protect kids, it's a ploy to gather your information and data and link your digital footprint to yourself. This outlandish idea is not being shilled only in the US but across the globe. Not as dangerous to americans (as of yet), but there are countries that you can get jailed for expressing certain ideas or criticize some people

I strongly disagree with digital ID. Try to impose it on me and I'll fucking go fully offline. Downloading an older version of any OS and making everything offline is better than being tracked 24/7 for wrongthink. It's not about the kids op, it's about arresting you for mean posts just like what the UK is doing right now. Look at the UK as a whole and tell me if they are really attempting to protect kids right now.

I believe there should be stronger disclaimers on using social media and it's effects on your health before we do anything with digital ids, once we get that we can move onto more harsh measures.

I really don't believe anyone who says "But surely there are no minors on KF because the site is 18+!!!"

Perhaps than we should legally require ID to join sites like KF, much like is happening to other explicitly adult websites? It would solve many of these issues.

I'm well aware there are probably minors on KF, but if a site or venue is officially adult only you don't need to self moderate because "think of the children". If a minor is found they should be banned on sight, nothing less.
