Starting us off, I'm a big fan of fermented foods. I try to eat at least one fermented thing a day; whether it's kraut/kimchi, pickles, yogurt, or kombucha. Doesn't matter what it is, I have to have at least one serving.

Unfortunately you only get the benefits if you make it yourself. Shit bought from the store has been heated to kill bacteria.

Also, drinking Metamucil every day has been fucking amazing for me.

Not if you buy from hippies!
Good point though.
On that note, kombucha-making isn't that hard, you can do it at home and SCOBYs can be found all over the place on local exchange groups and even on etsy.

Are you drinking enough water?

Probably not, I'm terrible about my water intake when i'm not physically active.

Favorite fermented foods and probiotics?

Virtually all of them. Sauerkraut, half sour pickles, kimchi, whatever. I've been meaning to make a few jars of half sours and a big batch of kimchi but I can't quite seem to find the time to do it.

Speaking of kimchi - pro-tip if you ever do end up making it yourself. One tablespoon of fish sauce, one tablespoon of dark soy sauce (Pearl River Bridge, etc), one teaspoon of sesame oil into a large jar (500-1000g) of kimchi after it's done fermenting and you are ready to put it in the fridge and store/eat it. Thank me later.

Shit, I have some buttermilk in the fridge. Time to go have a snack.

It's a pain in the ass "falling back" to this gay standard time that nobody on Earth likes. Who the fuck in their right mind wants more daylight before they go to work and less after?

The 7:30 train now wants to leave the station at 6:30 which is a real inconvenience.

It's #NoPoopNovember, or? Soooo ... but even if it wasn't, thanks to various influencers and my fellow brethrens in various encouraging online circles I'm proud to announce that I've been actually going #NoPoop for the fourth consecutive month now and I'm feeling worse than ever. I can feel toxins building up in my body real nice and I have zero energy. I'm constantly on the verge of vomiting and I think some organ might fail soon.
Of course I also never drink water because the Jews poison it with (((flouride))).

If you just embrace the chud lifestyle and drink from/refill a plastic gallon jug of water instead of drinking from a glass it's much easier to take in a ton of water. It's not much challenge to drink a gallon a day.

Kimchi (non mass produced kind) is really lit though, especially if you like spicy stuff.
Unfortunately the hippy stuff isn't that common and recipes online are a little intimidating, and because it's a very ethnic dish I can't tell if it's one of those things where they're overcomplicating the issue and you could make a much simpler but less "authentic" version if you don't have any Asian markets within reasonable distance.

Thus sadly I remain kimchi-less.
It seems like there should be some kind of non-profit group to prevent that sort of thing.

gallon a day seems really excessive unless it's very hot and you are sweating like a pig all day
like, i don't want to take a piss twenty times a day

Diet hacking for upset tummies.
Me and @SSj_Ness realized we both were told of that old family folk remedy of sipping 7Up soda and lying down/taking it easy. Honestly, I'm not sure it works, but it never made things worse the few times I tried that.

Just started some pickled red onion, had no idea what I was missing out on, they’re super good.

My gran would swear by two dates a day to stay regular, but too much natural laxative might get messy if you’re not eating a balanced diet.

Indeed. I made the mistake of spending the weekend getting drunk and eating stupidly spicy food. Thankfully the intestinal cramps as it worked it's way down and the anus-destroying apocalyptic napalm shit firestorm that ensued was over by the time I had to go to work.

Oddly enough, I used to drink lots of water and eat one meal a day (not a diet, just working split shifts) of only steaks and cabbage, and my body itself felt great. I thought that a daily dose of cabbage and meat would result in heinous farts, but I don't think I ever farded and shidded less in my life.

I grew up with something similar, flat Coke. I don't drink soft drinks but if I am dealing with an upset stomach I'll buy a bottle, then shake and open until there's no fizz left in it. Maybe it's placebo, but it works every time.

Drinking 3-4 liters/day is quite a lot and can actually be dangerous for you. That is true even in a heatwave summer, even if you exercise heavily during the heat. You do need to replace lost water, but drinking 4L is excessive-ish. When you drink so much, you will pee a lot. And when you pee, you will eliminate a lot of minerals and likely cause an electrolyte imbalance, which can be a real pain in the ass, lead to muscle cramping, loss of sleep, fatigue etc.
Basically you want to drink enough to have a light yellow colored urine. If it's nearly completely clear, you're probably overdoing it. Ideally you could do bloodwork frequently to monitor various changes but that's a bit out of bonds for most people.

There's nothing hard about making it, just need Napa cabbage, water, salt and either pre-made kimchi seasoning paste or just Korean kimchi pepper flakes. Order the shit off Amazon if you don't get it locally.

Chop cabbage, wiilt the cabbage in salted water, then drain and mix with your spices and stuff the cabbage in jars. Top each jar off some of the spice and water mix from the bowl you mixed the cabbage in.

That's it. The cabbage will start to ferment and within a few days it'll be ready to eat. You can mix other veggies into the kimchi to taste (carrot, daikon, broccoli, green onion stems)
