I know a guy whose politics are pretty similar to Dev's. I eventually came to the conclusion that his political takes were all filtered through the fact that he was deeply afraid of the idea that the government could be incompetent or malicious. Jordan Peterson spoke of dealing with a woman who believed people were inherently good, as in she HAD to trust everyone unless proven otherwise (and even then), and after making me personally look into that psychological/sociological aspect myself I've determined this: There is a not unsubstantial amount of people who, irrelevant to traditional intelligence, are completely wired (whether biologically or sociologically I think 50/50) to not only believe in but be psychologically addicted to order. These people make good Nazis, good Commies, good Terrorists, any sort of cult that has a stratified power structure with a clear overlord class basically.

I don't know the population number for this, but if I just have to guess based off of voting patterns, probably less than a quarter of the population in the West is neurologically programmed to believe in a lord class. The Science, """Professionalism""", ect are all byproducts of this.
