Also there is talk about the first Destiny game have as much players as back in 2016 now days. Specially after the bad news about Destiny2 and Marathon suck ass. But the "people" saying you should support Marathon in order to get them to continue Destiny are turbo-goycattle, and have no idea how this industry functions. You need only point them at what happened to the Titanfall franchise after Apex Legends released to see what that kind of thinking will get you.

I watched this last night, him saying to marathon fans, “I will kill you and piss on your grave” did make me giggle like a faggot. The dude is a grifting turncoat NO DOUBT, but he has personality, he has jokes, he’s funny. He’ll probably be more successful than retards like Datto or Byf because he is a very entertaining streamer.

Sidenote: I hope Byf and his fucking ham beast wife go homeless. That faggot has not only sucked so much girl cock from bungie, he has constantly CONSTANTLY ballwashed and retconned lore for bungie, WILLINGLY. I didn't buy the DDE for TFS, because I figured it was a good time to call it a day. It came with Echoes, so I at least played through that and it had some nice guns. But when I read that they were removing crafting for the next season I knew I made the right choice, because I had seen for a while that they were resorting to desperate measures to increase engagement time (forcing you to run the exotic mission a stupid number of times to complete your objectives, for example), and taking away the backstop against bad RNG was an clear escalation.

I kind of want to hear what this rat fuck has to say, but I don't want to give him views. Hopefully someone can archive it. This rodent was one of the few people that knew exactly what happened in 2013, but when he wrote an article about it he kept a lot of details ambiguous, like who exactly made the decisions that lead to the original team like Joe leaving, which in hindsight you realize was to protect Bungie by making people think it was Activision's fault.

I don't know if Bungie actually thought killing Destiny would get all of its players to move over to Marathon or not, but if they did, they're even more retarded than I gave them credit for. I had no desire to play it when it was first announced, I had no desire to play it when it flopped at launch, and I continue to have no desire to play it now that they killed my favorite game just to devote all their attention to it. Hell, it's gone beyond apathy towards Marathon; I didn't care too much about its future one way or the other before, but I straight up want it to fail now. Even if that kills Bungie and Destiny for good, I don't care, I'm petty enough to want to see that whole company go down in flames for making such stupid decisions.

Cross brought up the same Titanfall/Apex connection in a followup, also explicitly telling other streamers that it's really not good for their wallets to die on this hill like he is, but he's staying the course:

Alright. My opinion has changed. Cross got paid to play marathon, I’m okay with it. It feels way more sincere when he says fuck this game, than it did when he was shilling for it.

Quick update, a friend of mine just gifted me Darktide. A superior sci-fi looter shooter on its own that I can feasibly play with my friends and introduce a newer player to warhammer without much hassle that does not necessitate dozens of full priced dlcs. So yeah, good update or not, D2 can go fuck itself for all I care, I am not playing it.
