DSP is obviously a joke. But aside from that he is essentially a zombie content wise. Someone who is way past his (serious) relevance, and kind of continues on.

It's kind of the opposite. DSP takes no risks and barely leaves the house so it's unlikely he'll physically die any time soon unless he gets a heart attack from his poor diet. I think this particular joke started with DSP 'outlasting' ProJared's career and then got extrapolated to any other youtuber who dies or has their career end.

That article lacks a date, but, after reading about it on reddit, and researching about that man on google, it seems like Steven Middleton is another person that died in 2014 and not the recently found body that is suspected to be Etika.

So apparently people are saying that someone that is a relative to Etika made a Facebook status stating to help find him is now deleted. Close to the time when the body was found and informed to the family.

Late to the party but I find it sad that Etika is trying to one up Logan Paul. Logan Paul films a hanged body for views and now Etika attempts to kill himself. What a sad individual.

Well, there's the possibility that they contacted the family, to identify him, and the family might find out it's not him after all.
But, to be honest, that doesn't seem likely at all. The probability of them being called to identify someone that is similar looking to Etika, and roughly died at the time as Etika is suspected to have disappeared and died the exact same way Etika seemed to have perished, but it's not him, is incredibly small. But, as they say, hope dies last.
