You guys remember CrackedRack right? That weird Youtuber who used to make Becky Bucket as well as other strange web shows. Most recently he created that web series called Lolcow Watch, and created that accompanying song Keffals Song. Well people talk about him a LOT (There's like subreddits about him and like 60 posts here about him) but I never really see any conversation about his book that just came out, Deplorable Instinct.

This is a school shooting fiction novel that tells the story of an autistic basement dweller named Ethan Wright who likes torturing animals while having to deal with his abusive family. I won't spoil much if you plan on reading it but it results in Ethan going on a violent rampage at his high school with his fathers pistol. Also according to the credits there were allegedly psychologists and PHD's working on this to verify it? What that means exactly I don't know. CrackedRack is offering it for 1.99 on several platforms but here's just a free copy to snag I archived:
Overall it can be a pretty mediocre book, I would probably rate it a 5/10. It has some genuinely terrifying moments sprinkled in, and the violence is hard to stomach (At least for me as a bit of a wimp). And the story being told is pretty immersive, and the psychological aspects are fascinating. But other then that this is not a very special book and I'm curious what you all think. Is this one of the first dedicated Youtubers to write a horror novel of this magnitude?
