I'm reviewing the youtube videos because I just know Truck's going off the fucking rails between segments this year. So far: fucking hell the 16b in the 256b compo is some kind of feat. I'm not sure what, but it's something.

Oldskool had some good ones too, pretty killer 2600 and the last one which is... some solid Mode X/486 tricks.

Wild was great, yes. Bunch of the sizecoding categories were just fine.

Razor1911 really kind of dropped the mic on nostalgia demos. Not too cringe and good references. That was solid.

That one was really, really good and everyone should give it a watch. I really liked how it went through some of the 'state of the art' music and graphical effects from different points in time.

I've watched most of the compos, I really enjoyed the wild compo as always, but the animated gif was also a lot of fun. Last time i paid attention to the scene was around 2016, it made me nostalgic for the old times.

However, I could not notice that 2 out of the 3 competitors of the live shader compo were troons. And then I made the mistake of going to pouet and reading the thread about the party.

HOLY FUCK, IS NOTHING SACRED ANYMORE? Not only was the party orgas doing a very special team for enforcing safety for diversity freaks, in an argument with a psychotic ex-orga, this comes out of the main orgas mouth

I was interested in that one as well, since GBA always had kickass releases. So I look up Porocyon since he's the cool kid on the block now... And he's a broken egg troon as well, spreading the troonrot everywhere he goes

I'm here for the cool code tricks and music because I'm not changing this bullshit. As mentioned above the 'most beloved' commentator on the demo segments goes on unhinged anti-American rants (being an expat himself) and so I just skip the in-betweens.

It's a fine line. Withdrawing from the field leaves it to the troons and leftist weirdos. But theyr'e intolerable to be around. So I just watch the demos and skip the 'lololol trans flag' compofiller.
