I think America is a decent country but going around saying 'we're great' seems to just be a way to live in la la land.
It is actually still great in a lot of ways (small/medium sizes cities can be excellent), but that's all legacy. The rapid demographic replacement ends that. The heart and moral core that European peoples have is not the norm, it is standout remarkable in the global human stew. It's quite sad to see something so beautiful be killed so callously. The same with Canada, really. The death of Canada aggrieves me greatly. Canadians are a top tier people. Some of the very best of Western culture comes from Canadians. But now infinity Indians until the Ganges is wholly recreated everywhere they squat, where everyone is a dirt world scammer.

The feminists on reddit seem to be concerned about why is Kamala being addressed as Kamala rather than Harris as males tend to be called by their last name. Like how about focus on her skills and policy? We call him Bernie and not Sanders. It's a trivial issue
Kamala is a great brand name. There's effectively only one Kamala. They'd be foolish to nix that. Harris sounds too much like harass or hairy-ass. I wish my name was Kamala. Call me Kamala from now on.

On the issue of Israel, Harris voiced support for a two-state solution as a senator and backed the Abraham Accords. As vice president, Harris privately expressed that the Biden administration needed to take a stronger stance against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the civilian death toll mounted in Israel’s war against Hamas.

Publicly, Harris emerged as one of the earliest high-profile leaders in the administration to call for an immediate temporary cease-fire in March. She delivered the sharpest rebuke against Israel’s handling of aid flows into the Gaza Strip at the time by a senior leader and described the conflict as a “humanitarian catastrophe” for innocent civilians.

Tariq Habash, who was a Biden policy adviser in the Education Department before resigning over the administration’s Israel policy, said he’s “cautiously optimistic” that Harris would be more willing to consider policy changes that center Palestinian human rights and curb Israel’s continued actions in Gaza and elsewhere.

Josh Paul, a former State Department official involved with transferring arms to American allies, said that Harris seems less “fixed and intransigent” than Biden does on Israel policy.

This Is Exactly What the Trump Team Feared

A campaign that had been optimized to beat Joe Biden must now be reinvented.
Harris is neither of those things. At 59 years old, she is two decades younger than Trump and will have no trouble keeping up with him on the campaign trail or the debate stage. She is also a former prosecutor who, if anything, is known for being too tough on crime. (Trump allies told me they plan to assault her left flank with accusations of Harris over-incarcerating young men of color when she was California’s attorney general.) At the very least, Trump’s lieutenants realize, Harris’s promotion will provide a desperately needed jolt to Democrats nationwide in the form of fundraising, volunteerism, and enthusiasm. Whatever her flaws as a politician—Harris ran a dreadful primary campaign for president in 2020, marked by organizational infighting and awkward sound bites—she does not possess the one flaw that proved insurmountable for Biden.
Trump is going to attack Kamala for not letting enough Black criminals go free. Surely Blacks will flock to Trump now. Trump understands what Democrats have offered them all these decades, free cash in relatively trivial amounts, and a license to crime.

What does it say about Kamala that not even Biden's corpse wants her to be President? He should've already resigned.

Finally, President Joe Biden has agreed to drop out of the presidential campaign following his poor performance in the debate against Trump. As Kamala Harris gears up to run as his anointed successor, Republicans are calling for Biden to resign—a valid request considering that he is clearly unfit to govern—which would also strengthen Harris’ campaign.

No, it's totally "democratic" with a small "d" to hold an entire primary election cycle and then junk the results because donors, operatives, and columnists decided it must be done, followed by picking a new nominee with zero voter input whatsoever. That's pure, sweet Democracy

Politician semen
Somehow I imagine gefilte latkes and semen taste remarkably similar. Not that I know from experience. Shut up.

HHH is a good poster and makes angry posters angry and that’s funny.
He makes posters angry because he never actually says anything of substance, it's all just buzzword vomit and fear mongering about how the BOOMER ZEALOT THEOCRATS are gonna make the handmaid's tale a reality.

As a Canadian in Canada, America has problems. We do too. Health care, gun violence. I think America is a decent country but going around saying 'we're great' seems to just be a way to live in la la land.

My other point is because America basically runs the world, other countries especially Canada and Mexico, watch how you present yourselves so yes the messaging of a politician isn't just for the Americans but for the international community.
Since you’re Canadian, you should be very aware of the constant messaging that you are racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic, and owe any success you may have solely to the state giving you “privileged” status.

Americans have spent years being told that the world despises them, our entire existence revolves around “white supremacy” and that if you aren’t the current preferred victim, not only do you not deserve to be proud of your accomplishments or your community, but you don’t even deserve to be happy.

Financial security, a decent job, safe and effective education for yourself and your family, even being safe from criminal violence and hordes of illegal immigrants raiding your community, are all things that the average American has watched slip away over the last 20 years, but especially in the last 3. All while being told we’re “privileged” for even believing we’re worth something.

And you’re right, America basically does run the world. And it does it on the backs and brains of Americans. We willingly send trillions abroad to support people who despise us while we are struggling more everyday. Our sons and daughters get sent to shitholes that will always be shitholes, because some corporation needs to increase shareholder profit by .25%. Our military strength allows socialized medicine and generous benefits to be provided to citizens all over the world because they (Canada especially) knows America is always ready to swing its giant military industrial complex dick around when needed.

And still people in those same countries will look down at Americans, who, despite all that, still understand that we need to be the last bastion of the worlds ever dwindling freedoms even while our own government whacks away at ours.

So yeah, having someone, anyone, tell Americans that not only are they great, but they deserve to be, matters. Being masters of our own fate and the best at what we do is what drives us. It’s why this anti-American progressive bullshit needs to be crushed. The world fucking depends on it.

Sorry for the sperg, it’s heartfelt.

tl;dr America - Fuck Yeah

With Surprise Reversal, Biden Rewrites His Legacy and Makes a Play for History

Long concerned about his “epitaph,” the president reluctantly surrendered his bid for a second term, but Democrats argue that his willingness to give up power may yet enhance his role in posterity.
“Joe Biden also did what he believed was best for the country, opting to stand down due to advanced age and the increasing possibility that he would lose the election to Donald Trump and jeopardize the state of democracy,” said Mark K. Updegrove, a presidential historian and president of the Lyndon B. Johnson Foundation. “Both men enhanced their legacies by declining to run again.”
Mr. Biden’s place in the history books is not yet fully written. He has six months more in office with two wars overseas to manage and an election to preside over here at home. While he will not be on the ballot himself, leaving the mission to Ms. Harris, he still may be held responsible if Mr. Trump wins again, an outcome Democrats and many others consider a danger to the country.
Biden can't stop winning, even while incapacitated.
