The problem with every "Politics & News" forums in ANY forum is it destroys communities. It ends up becoming an echo chamber that plagues the rest of the forum that drives out people or a constant form of argument that pervades every forum.

At least one forum I went to collectively decided "fuck this" and almost completely abandoned the politics/religion forum, even though the actual forum remains open and accessible.
