I know you know it's par for the course when it comes to these types of Marathons. If he doesn't hit 1k by the end of the stream I think he will be very disappointed.

That's why I can't watch a restream unless the host is also actually talking and interacting with chat. He's completely unwatchable unless he's used as background noise for someone else to occasionally laugh at, especially after the prestream. If I got a dollar for how many times have I watched restreamers go talk about something with their chat that's completely unrelated to what Phil is doing at that moment I'd be able to single-handedly fund Dave's tips goal at least once a week. Especially when he's playing most games, there's so little to talk about due to his shitty gameplay, completely inane khammentary (LOOK I JUST DID THIS! LOOK! I HAVE PERFORMED THIS ACTION! DID YOU SEE THAT?) and frequent spells of dead air while gamerfacing. At that point the restream hosts only go back to talking about Dave if he suddenly starts begging, LiMBing, performing the Pigroach Tipquistion, does something monumentally stupid in the game or on the rare occasion blesses us with some gold dust.
Also, because of all of this the restreamers I've watched are infinitely more interactive with their chat while watching a restream of DSP than DSP is on his own streams that he calls "interactive". Talk about irony.

I would expect more like $200-$400, tbh. He's not begging for anything, and he would have to count on like 1 or 2 whales doing it. It'll be interesting to see how much he wrings out from his tard-base today.

That's true, I am so used to December being critical begging time for DSP that I forget there is no ongoing crisis. I still think he has a lot of faith in his whales, and Dave is a huge slave to his own expectations.
